Finally, I’m done with IELTS as well, luckily in the first try. You were absolutely right, no practice is needed. I got 8.5 overall, L9 R9 W7.5 S8.5. I definitely studied a bit for listening and reading, barely studied for writing, and watched a couple of videos before the test for speaking. Thank you for your tips!
In my experience, sticking with a few general points when it comes to writing is better than obsessing over them. I just wrote what came to my mind without stopping to think whether I’ve used enough complex sentences or high level vocab or even how much I’m writing, it ended up being 2 entire sheets for task 2 but I enjoyed it.

thanks for sharing ur useful tips...i have noticed that even though the letter does not mention name of the peson we are writing but still all sample letters mention a name like Dear Mr.Brown or Dear Smith etc although these names are not mentioned anywhere in question..!!...so do we have to fake this name even if its not mentioned in the question or are these for sample only ?...
