😅 The smiling face of denial when you were the chosen son to go to America and your brother back home got richer, more successful in all aspects of life including marrying a hot model/actress fiance.

But anyways, to iterate your original point, some people choose to leave their birth country for the USA just for the sake of staying in the us even if they make financially less in USA than in their birth country. I am now in Australia, and it’s the same thing here. Most Asian people here are stuck doing minimum wage jobs.

@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast : 😉 Besides the obvious international/social prestige, generous welfare packages, a sense that your life is valued should you ever get kidnapped somewhere, and the chance of breeding good looking children for a change are all very hard for Asians to resist. But never mind my thoughts. Why do you want to live in Australia and probably citizenship instead of wherever you're from?

Anachronism: At 2:33, Someone is riding a YouBike in Riverside Park near Raohe Street. But YouBikes weren't launched in Taipei until 2009. This show is supposed to be set in the 1990s.

Are you sure that wasn’t a normal bike that looked like a YouBike?
This episode aired in 2016, so many errors exist. In many of the other episodes, I see clips of cars from the 2000s. Also, be aware the first scene of this episode was an EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER. The 777-300er first started flying in 2003.

$3 USD is close to $100 NTD (Taiwanese dollar), back then that's about how much you pay for a McDonald combo in Taiwan
