Mine are pretty much the same, except I don’t use bindings for the throws since my thumbs are big enough that I never miss those by just pressing 1+3 or 2+4. That means I have some more options.
R1: 1+2
R2: 3+4
L1: 2+3
L2: 1+2+3+4
R3: 1+3+4
L3: Special Mode (for when not playing Xiaoyu like Character Stories and stuff)
I use bindIngs too but I forgot the existence of L3 and R3 which i can bind to the paddles under my controller. Thanks for reminding me😂
I also use all the buttons on my ps5 controller. In T7 I used R3 for her parry but now I mapped R3 as her 1+3 grab which in turn can also be used as parry.
I have L1/LB = 2+3
R1/RB = 1+4
L2/LT = 3+4
R2/RT = 1+2
L3 = Ki charge
I played like this since maining Lars back when I played Tekken 6, like 15 years ago. Just personal preference
I use 2+3 for my heat almost exclusively (and the waning moon grab) but I’ve noticed that you can’t trigger heat with it when in hypnotist stance so i went ahead and added a dedicated heat button to L3 just in the off chance I decide to use heat while in hypnotist
My bindings were always R1=3+4, R2=1+2, and L1/L2 were the generic throws. Why? Because my 12-year-old self playing Tekken 3 thought it's a good idea for some reason. 🤣
I stuck with this as adjusting would take time and a lot of missed input, and I was like why bother? 😁 (Granted, the trigger nature of Dualsense's R2 did cause a few issues when I wanted to punish with f+1+2)
The only change I did is to assign 1+4 to L2 because of the Heat stuff and R3 to Rage Art, but that's it. I rarely use generic throws anyway.
But yours is cool and it actually makes sense. 😂
U should look into getting a PS4 scuff controller for the extra paddles underneath the controller. I have two extra set of button binding with my Dual Sense Edge PS5 controller
I run the exact same set up except I run my heat burst as R3 and L1 and 3+4. I find myself using 3+4 alot more than heat burst which can only be done once a round so I'd rather have heat burst as R3.
you hold your controller claw style right? do you adjust your hands to use the right side shoulder buttons?
Hi Croft I have one question to you. Do you have a situation when you can't press any button in hypnotist stance? I don't remember exact moment, but I'm pretty sure it's not transition after strings by press back, it's just by ub12. After 3 steps(end of hyp) I can press buttons again. I'm confused. Bug?
Ling sure is a tricky character to learn
this was my demotivation for learning Ling, all those two button moves cause alot more more miss inputs.
No Heat?
Mine is:
R1: 1+2 (aop)
R2: 3+4 (rds)
L1: 1+3 (throw)
L2: 2+4 (throw)
R3: 2+3 (heat, waning)
L3 could be ki charge but i dont use it
In reality though, I actually have L1 mapped to special style for other characters as I only need one throw button. I manually press 1+4 when I need it, and L3 is rage art for characters i didnt memorize it for (like for story mode)
Am I missing something or do you have a video for everything except combos? Your combo vid from the beta doesn't seem relevant anymore, I see you doing other things in-game.
