It is my pleasure to bring to you this 30th anniversary tribute of the legendary Street
Fighter 2 soundtrack, recorded with a total of 15 acoustic and electronic instruments. These tracks were recorded with the intention of sounding the way the original songs may have sounded if Capcom could've used real instruments and weren't limited to the hardware restrictions of the time. Wherever possible, instruments that are relevant to the character & country were used, such as the Chinese Dizi for Chun Li, an Indian-made Harmonium for Dhalsim, an obscure vintage Japanese synth for part of Honda's theme & Ryu's percussion, an accordion for Vega, and the Soviet era Polivoks synthesizer for Zangief.
The locations featured in this video are as true as possible to their in-game counterparts. Vega's stage is one of the very few which doesn't have a specific location. Since a bar with a giant cage doesn't exist in Spain, I thought it best to highlight the Flamenco dancers in the back of the stage. As for Honda, it's incredibly difficult to obtain footage of a bath house, for obvious reasons. His stage does not have a specific location either, so a bath house in Tokyo was chosen. The footage used was acquired through Pond5 (all of E. Honda, 2 Ryu, 1 Blanka, 1 Chun Li), Bottled Video (Guile Jets), Periscope Films, LLC (Balrog), and Shutterstock (all else).

Impresionante trabajo, gracias! Saludos desde Buenos Aires DF, Argentina.
This is beautiful!
This was crafted with love.
During the entire video I had a huge grin on my face and was transported back to my early childhood in the early 90s. Each melody is perfectly ingrained in my brain and I enjoyed this inmensely.
I had such an obsession with anything related to the game. I'm quite sure it was a huge influence in my world wandering lifestyle as I grew up.
I've visited most of these locations, Street Fighter made many of my generation interested in foreign cultures and travelling. The greatest legend in the history of videogames of all times.
Subscribed, and really hope the views increase, this jewel deserves that justice.
Standing ovation from Ushuaia, Argentina 🇦🇷
this.... this is a whole new level
You put a lot of time into this
I don't remember the Earth rotating backwards.
Such is the force and fury of the tiger when it meets the disciplined power of hadouken.
This is amazing !! I dont know why this video dont have much more views and likes !!! I love it !!!!!! saludos desde Argentina !
Great video bro. I watch this to help my 6 year old learn about other countries while also jamming out ha. Thanks!
That footage of the Golden Nugget in the 70's was so awesome. Wonder where did you get it from? It's super cool. The Nugget now looks so different.
YES haha, when I found that Golden Nugget footage, I was so excited. I got the footage from Periscope Films, LLC. And yeah, it's really a shame how the Nugget looks now. Modern design and architecture is mostly always hideous compared to the way it used to be.
new subscriber!!! I love this!!!
Some of these song covers were actually kind of accurate, for the most part.
This is something special.
I loved this. So awesome.
Oh you fuckin' beauty.
Wow so cool 😎
Saturday Night Slam Masters Soundtrack: Mixed Instruments & REAL WORLD Locations.
Really good
Why the very first game and not the last one from Street Fighter II?
Great! I love it!
Why doesn't this have that many likes? This is awesome
Because it's against the rules of the internet for a creator to share their own content anywhere (unless it's artwork), but thank you.
You should, though, your covers are EXCELLENT. I just went through your SF2 Playlist and I haven't been this impressed or had this much fun since I discovered Malcom Robinson (well wishes wherever you are.)
think about the señoritas, vamonos!
If you're doing the New Challengers, at least you'll have the Hospicio Cabañas in Guadalajara, Jalisco for T. Hawk's, Cammy's is somewhere in England but it's unspecified, same for Deejay's. Fei Long's is a mansion with a garden that has been demolished already, the Tiger Balm Garden, but hey, you could find footage from it like the 70's Nugget, right?
I will be doing the music for the New Challengers, but most likely not in the same format as this video. It was pretty expensive to get the licenses for all the footage, and since this video didn't do very well, I don't think it was worth it. If the channel grows a lot, I will consider doing the New Challengers in the same format as this video, but as of right now, I don't plan on it.
I've always pointed the following cities as the hosts of each SF2 characters:
Ryu 🇯🇵: Hiroshima
E. Honda 🇯🇵: Tokyo
Chun Li 🇨🇳: Beijing
Ken 🇺🇸: New York (although some placed his stage at Chicago or San Francisco, I think NY os perfect haha)
Guile 🇺🇸: Denver (home of the US Air Force Academy)
Zangief 🇷🇺: probably Nizhnii Novgorod or Ekaterinburg
Dhalsim 🇮🇳: New Delhi
Balrog 🇺🇸: Las Vegas obviously! hahaha
Vega 🇪🇦: Barcelona
Sagat 🇹🇭: Ayutthaya, near Bangkok
M. Bison: I'm gonna put a little bit of my perception. I'd put him as Cambodian 🇰🇭, as this country is pointed in the game and at that time they suffered a strong communist dictatorship, so, his city should be Phnom Penh
Greetings from Perú 🇵🇪. This game is my favorite of all times, and will ever be. And my ultimate goal is to visit each SF2 country with my future wife 🙏 in God's hands!
Neat.
これは最高です
