I don’t think Tenz is amongst the top 20 in the world right now. But for his name to constantly be brought up in conversation all the time even up until now speaks for itself and you can’t deny him being a good player. He definitely still has the potential to be one of the best if he fixes certain mistakes

I think he’s definitely top 20 material, but there’s also definitely more than 20 people that are top 20 material based off of biases & how you’re measuring it. Anyone who can’t accept that just isn’t giving him enough credit from either underestimation or their own negative biases towards him or his team.

@@andylee8093 tbf marved haven't performed well because he was with sentinels. their roster was so chaotic + he was igling. like in my opinion, sentinels is more of a content team because there's no any reasons for them to be in franchise. comparing sen roster before franchise with guard, there's no debate guard clears. we'll see how marved will perform in upcoming season.

In the Anglophone part of Valorant, it is so dominated by NA that it can be hard to make cross-regional comparisons because people are just so much more familiar with NA players.
Ofc, a top player like Curry knows the game better than most people but a lot of these guys are so embedded in the NA scene and so busy with their own playing and stuff that they don't follow the whole of Valorant esports as closely as would be needed for them to have the same expertise on others regions as they do their own.
I don't think TenZ is a definite top 20 player but he's definitely among the pool of players hovering around there who have the potential to be there. New season is just about to start, so it's hard to do meaningful lists now. Let's wait till Master's Madrid to see how 2024 is shaping up. Sentinels look really promising.
I think a good test would be 5 Tenz on 1 team vs 5 of whatever other pro player who wins.

I love Tenz and I still think he is one of the best players in terms of his ability to switch roles and perform at a certain level, but if we're being honest without Sentinels building a roster around him, he might not even be in top 40 for best players worldwide even though his mechanics, game sense, and accomplishments are better than 90 percent of Valorant pro league.

It's hard to rank TenZ because he has shown the highest peak we have ever seen and he could very well tap into that any random match, so it's kinda like do you rank the consistent 8/10 player over the 5/10 that has 11/10 peaks?

The qualification of being the best players in the world today is not how high their peak was. Even if we say that it's the peak, everyone today probably sits down 2021 Reykjavik TenZ. At least you agree with this.

The problem with sen was they didn’t evolve with the meta and all the roster changes made it harder fir tenz to adapt to anew team every season.
