One day I thought; hmm, I wonder if "Viking Metal" is a thing, boom, I found Amon Amarth. A search of "German EDM" led me to a whole bunch of stuff I like that is industrial, "Russian acoustic" led me to another whole bunch of stuff I now like that isn't even acoustic, and that in turn led me to some Mongolian metal. I can't even remember how I made my way to bands like The Dead South, The Devil Makes Three, and Ghoultown.
So love that they take these old Norse myths and bring them alive to Metal fans all over the world. They make the forefathers proud and keep the old myths alive for a new generation to enjoy while playing some seriously awesome metal!

You should realy react to Dark Tranquility for top notch melodic death metal music, they have the perfect recipe for each of their songs: clean/brutal vocals, melodies, solos, amazing lyrics. They are pioneers of the genre and they're still going strong wih their last album being considered one of the best in metal this year. Try "Forward Momentum", it has a realy well put music video to go with it.
