This Cannes experience must’ve taught Deepika a lot as a positive way. She sounds even more comfortable talking about films and the technicalities of it. It just feels good to see her getting even more comfortable expressing herself, her thoughts and understandins.
That's the reason she was chosen as the jury
gudiya khati hai pudiya for saniti.. maal hai kyaaa?

I've been in love with her since Om Shanti Om / Aishwarya, since I was 7 years old, now as a 23 year old I still love and admire her just the same ❤️ say what you want abt her she simply can't be ignored and she deserves all the credit and praise for all the success she's seen
Deepika has such clarity while speaking . It's incredible. To listen to her was actually pacifying . She is awesome !
People keep preaching about working hard but she actually does. Just look at her journey from being written off by several critics to becoming the best actor of the generation and from attending cannes in 2010 with her underconfident self to ruling it in 2017, 2018 & 2019 to now being a jury member there. Truly the queen of bollywood❤️👑
I’m not S asian but having many Asian friends I was introduced to Bollywood, and from the first time I saw Deepika in OSO, I was her fan I think her genuine approach to dealing with her depression and coming through it was amazing! The best thing she did was not remain hooked up to Ranbir Kapoor, he is too high maintenence to value and validate her, whereas Ranveer is so besotted by her, that since Ram Leela they have been rising and rising in their respective acting career! I always wish them well, as they are my favourite Bollywood couple!
Best actor of the generation 😀u mean off screen yes malya's son,Ranbir ,Farhan and that crazy hell of a good actor ranveer would concur
Be humble as it is Deepika ... So-so beautiful
She’s here after 15 years of hard work!!! she deserves every bit of this global recognition
gudiya khati hai pudiya . maal hai kyaaa?
We should be proud of her not only as Indians but as South Asians too. Started off as a model and then an outsider who made a breakthrough just to be written off by the insider circle. With all these resistances she drove her way up and really made her parents proud just like her mother said.
Deepika is pride of India........no amount of fake news spread by sold out news channels can dilute her stardom
She is not outsider you know her father is wealthy celebrity right? I mean she got offered her debut by salman khan and she rejected the offer and got debut with srk
An outsider would never get these opportunities or even chance after 5 flop movies let's face it
@@rihem2032 lol she was offered her debut by Salman because of her modeling gig. and even though her father is a badminton champion, the sport didn't have the money it does now back in the 80s, so her family wasn't as wealthy as you think, even though she's upper middle class.
deepika was a rage during her modelling days, much like Aishwarya, and was a rising figure, and was offered a number of movies. she was a fresh face and also had experience w tera suroor and her Kannada movie. tired of people downplaying her achievements because she's a wealthy outsider. yes, people worked harder than her, but she had it tough too, especially with her string of flops between OSO and cocktail.
@@iSwiftectioner well said
@@rihem2032 before that she did modelling , music videos , tv ads , she also did south movies ,... Her father Prakash padukone is badminton player has nothing to do with movies ,... U r so dumb , think about it, is it a sin to be famous personalities children ,...
Deepika is one of the finest actress Aswell as superstar. Undoubtedly she worked very hard and deserve every bit of global recognition.
Speaks confidently with a beautiful sense of pride , so proud of her . Truth is she’s a real deal , all power to her
She is truly being authentic by not faking an accent..loved her conversation..
When she walked in the that golden Saree and did that namaste. I really felt proud. 🥺💪🇮🇳🇮🇳
White and golden Saree in 2010
Balck Golden saree in 2022
One of the best dresses ever in cannes history....she was looking so beautiful and God damn gorgeous... She proudly embrace Indian culture Indian tradition ...she didn't fear and feel insecure wearing Indian traditional clothes in frst red carpet ....
Look at the fake deshbhaktini....kangna who wore gown and french suit on both her red carpet appearance....
This woman never ever has a sense of arrogant. Not even a single time I felt that she has Talend her success and achievements on her head. She is so down-to-earth 🥺🥺💗💗
And still PPL unnecessarily troll her. Idk what is their issue with her and her speech?
Right 👍
@Liya Aju i agree. They simply want to make a comment on how she gave a speech also. When these PPL are asked to speak at that time they don't even open their mouth. Idk what they gain by spreading these false and negative images of the PPL. Instead spread positivity and peace.
@Liya Aju right people only target those are successful.. so basically to get trolled you either have to be a very bad person or a successful person. And most importantly we indian don't deserve people like Deepika . And any single representing India globally. Our indian people can praise "Bach pan ka pyar " but not deepika 😅and even they can't stopped judging pc for her met Gala look 😅 i think she must living in peace and harmony by settling there in usa rather than India
@@veerabhadraswamy1863 yeah 👍😅they are the best speakers of our country
Down to earth person.. I totally agree with her view that our films are worthy to be screened in Cannes.
She is so wonderful and authentic, I love what she represents and stands for. I couldn’t agree more about Indians having to stop apologizing for being our authentic self.
Deepika speaks so well and in a way we understand easily. People who do not know about communication skills call her boring. English isn't about American accent and good communication skills doesn't mean speaking fast. You go girl, keep embracing yourself👏♥️
Teri MAA ki
Yes she is boring...her answers are mostly dumb....but she is good hearted and true indian celebrity...she always ready to embrace Indian culture and tradition..and for her it's always india frst...not like fake deshbhaktini kangna
She rambles mostly. It's pretty privilege that gets her a pass every time.
hijj i'm
i guess
Never seen any Bollywood actor this authentic and down to earth. Literally one the finest actors we have in our India. And you were correct that we as indians do deserve to be on these international film festivals 🇮🇳👍❤️💪👏
True India makes movies in diffrent languages be it Hindi Marathi Tamil Telugu Kannada bangali Assamese and we give blockbusters and content still Be it Oscars or cannes selection is like nil..... Once in years select hota hain
Aishwarya Rai is also
She is looking so beautiful 🌹
She is just getting more gorgeous and ethereal 😊
As we all know, Deepika Padukone once said: “Cannes is mine.” which is truly icon behaviour. Also, I LITERALLY screamed when I heard that she was chosen as a member of the prestigious jury.
People will say she is fake, she is this or that but for me what matters is how she makes others feel in front and every damn time, she makes the person in front so good about self! Look at her- being at the top ! And still being just so grounded, not even a percent of arrogance, attitude, proud beside her or around her way.
She is personality goals! She is the ultimate queen! Like Karan says - Rani hai ye Rani
Kaun karan
As always Deepika proved why she's the Queen of Bollywood, pulling off every look with such grace and poise ... She's the Queen indeed and your favourite can't relate ❤️
Bollywood queen is only one and that's Kangana Ranuat...

What can I say about deepu everytime you surprised me and make us (fans) proud to be your fans. Very much happy to see you chatting with Anupama. Keep going girl 😍💙💙
Grace, beauty, she's so down to earth. Deepika doing it great ❤️
I'm so proud of her.
Have been waiting since forever!!!! DP Queen
i love her and i am proud of her❤️ when a woman goes up that high, people love to pull her down and they really find ways to do so. she deserves the world and here she goes!!
So much to learn from Deepika.... She is not only a brilliant actress who is representing India at Cannes but also a great human being and so down to earth person.... I hope she continues to achieve more and make proud us .... Saranghamnida Deepika Noona ❤️❤️

You are absolutely right deepika. Most of our indian films actually deserves to at international film festivals. For example : raatchasan, superdelux, RRR. 🇮🇳💗
Super deluxe is somewhat different from ratchasan and rrr. It deserved international recognition
Did you know international cinema. RRR superdelux all are melodramatic and too over the top cinema. The disciple lagaan rang de basanti that is world class cinema. Learn to differentiate
@@sunnnysingh3498 accha kan pakad ke maafi mangta hoon
@@swapniladak2912 thx bhai. RRR over the top garbage. Subject good treatment is pathetic. Mixing the end with religious ram ravan story
RRR and Raatchasan never deserve to be on international platform. Its just garbage made for the people who worships their favourite south Indian stars like Gods. Kinda like Salman Khan films and his fans. However Super Delux and Sardar Udham is actually deserving of the international platform and audience. Specially Sardar Udham. Brilliant film. No wonder Soojit Sarkar is inspired by the great Satyajit Ray.
Anu, i always look forward to your interviews with Deepkia as they remind us what a humble, down to earth human and an incredible actor she is, and this interview one was no different. I have huge amount of admiration of DP ... India and the world needs more actors/humans like her. 💛🤍💚
Deepika is looking so simple yet gorgeous 😍❤️
I luv deepika padukone and she really want industry to grow like any other industry and geheriyan is still in my head, its truly a masterpiece

Deepika Padukone best actor
Great interview ..nice to see her being honest for a change. Sometimes her interviews seem very fake and put on
The one interview I was waiting for. Deepika comes across as such a genuine, simple n sweet person.
My favorite Indian actress Deepika will be presenting herself as a jurry and my favourite Nepali actress Surakshya Panta will be lighting up the Red Carpet
what more can I wish for?
Deepika is great of course! But also what a great interview! Pertinent questions, Anu ma'am. Thank you for bringing this to us.
She was great in this interview - wholeheartedly agree that so many indian films have been deserving of international recognition. Indian film-makers just need to lobby harder for their films to get the eyeballs.
Proud of Deepika ❤she’s humble and zero negativity
I cudnt take my eyes off her for a single second! She is looking soooo beautiful!!! ♥️
Beauty with some real brain 🙏
I think they day will definitely come when India will have its own international film festival. We do have a lot of brilliant films including all the regional films.. I really want deepika padukone to be part of that. She and aishwarya have started this revolution. 💪🇮🇳💗💗
People mocked her in twitter saying she said cannes shld be in India she meant a festival like cannes..why not...we have such a huge content cinema actors actresses even we can held such a festival like this...Logo ko bas troll karna aata her interntion was right just grammar error tha... Woh actor hain politician ya teacher nahi ki sub words right hoga
Deepika❤......yoy are a epitome of grace and elegance. its been 15 years of you being in this film industry and the way you grow yourself as an actor , the name and fame you achieved is absolutly commendable. you are an inspiration for all the girls and women who believe in herself to achieve something big . kudos to you and may you get more more success .

epitome and then baith ke socho ... what you said is that actually correct or are you just blindly delusional
Gorgeous Girl DP! I can't stop looking at her beauty💞💚💚
In a long time I hear Deepika saying sensible and interesting things. Usually she is boring and too diplomatic. Looks like the Cannes festival turned her bulb on. Well done Anu mam for the super good questions 👍
Yes, the questions were really good
Deepika Padukone - You Cute You Pretty I love Your movies too and Your Cannes Look are so so beautiful...So Proud of You Being Jury this Year..You deserve a Pat on Your Back You are a Self made Actor Be Proud of Your Achivements...Your Speaking Skills might be Crap But Your Intentions and Heart is in the Right Place...Anything that u want i what i wish for you...God Bless You
Totally agree with Deepak. We need to own it and be proud of our heritage.
Deepak kon hai 😂
Deepak nhi Deepika bhai 😀
Indian beauty❤️😍 strong personality and successful
Deepika , we r sooo proud of u....❤
So glad Indians are finally pronouncing Cannes correctly, as in Can and not Kahn! For a long time they thought because Cannes is French that it had to be pronounced as Kahn and that Can is just an American pronunciation. In this case, ironically, the American pronunciation is the correct one!
I have really never liked deepika but one thing is very commendable. Shes was never fake. She has always been this poised silent reserved kind of a girl and still is the same. Atleast she didnt become this idgaf princess after the whole "maal" fiasco.
Where is the apology!! It looks like dee is still high
Deepika spoke so well in this interview 🔥
Deepika my love 😍 really she is the best … down to earth … never fails to mesmerize 😍u deserve to be there .. love you 😍 Deepveer

Deepika you are so Beautiful gergouse stunning Woman you're smile eyes 👀 are stunning you leave me breathless you are my Queen B Sooooo Beautiful 😍❤️🥰 my girl crush 🥰
Deepika speaks so well and makes such sense, her vocabulary and accent is so authentic. Such a relief after Aishwarya's typical interview with the fake accent, constant fixing her hair and throwing the thesaurus on us without making any sense!!
My alltime favourite deepu❤❤❤❤😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😍 lots of love deepu😍😘😘😘😘❤
Such a breath of fresh air after watching Aishwarya's interview. Deepika is so authentic and rooted. And yes its really sad that just one documentary has been screened from India!! Where are we going wrong??
I’m waiting for the ultimate Collab where Anupama Chopra and Deepika Padukone start their own independent film festival. I think it’d be amazing.
Deepika Padukone is brilliant ❣️💐🎉
Absolutely proud South Indian she is not only representing Bollywood she is also representing South India too as she is from Bangalore. ❤️😍
Although most of what she said is true, I’m also reminded of one interview of Satyajit Ray where he spoke about his view of the Indian audience and it’s taste of cinema (which unfortunately hasn’t truly evolved but only shifted due to the penetration of OTT). I’m using Ray’s words because if there ever truly was an Indian Filmmaker that was truly Indian while also an internationally revered master, it was him and no one ever since unfortunately. His words can seem harsh but he said and I’m paraphrasing - Indian audiences’ taste (putting in a global context) are very unsophisticated and basic. And before taking offence and start defending patriotically our cinema, you truly have to have enough knowledge, understanding and respect of great international cinema to understand what he meant by that statement. The problem isn’t if we’re great as per international standards, it’s just that firstly we actually are still basic in our expectations and understanding of cinema and hardly ever want our cinema to be anything more than just pure entertainment, which can be considered as good or bad depending on from where you see it. But in an overall way, and again using Ray’s example, we actually are still playing mostly safe when it comes to breaking new ground in an international level and that can definitely be improved, hope after her experience here, Deepika can help pave way for more such films (like her own Piku) to be made and sent for international competitions.
A link of the part of the interview and then a background of what Ray will forever mean to Indian Cinema! th-cam.com/video/UMp7dIGq2eI/w-d-xo.html
The 2nd last ans of the interview is what I like about Deepika

Its ASH who was first indian as cannes jury member not deepika padukone
She is representing India 🙏💯
India is so proud of all the Indian talent who made us proud at Cannes 2022, be it Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai, Urvashi Rautela, Pooja Hegde, Tammanah, AR Rahman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R Madhwan, Hina Khan , Helly Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Meera Chopra.
We are so proud of you Deepu God bless 🙏💓💓💓💓💓
Last question made me cook 100 of different theories 😫 plss Deepu give us more detail about the 4pm🥺❤️
Ashwariya Rai was the first Bollywood actor to serve on the jury. She paved the way for all Bollywood actors.
I so agree, indian cinema does everything right and they so deserve to be represented. It is a problem of selection.
Go girl go girl u doing a great job
Queen Deepika...👑👑👑
Tremendous transformation! Did she put on weight during the Ghehraiyan period? What a difference between now and Ghehraiyan!
INDIAN QUEEN, Keep making India proud🇮🇳❤️
I can see the complete focus change with which Deepika is speaking here. That’s the magic of these international film festivals. Hope to see an Indian film being represented in main competition soon. By the way what’s that 4 pm thing she said at the last 🤔
Very elegant, talented actress!

“ The Namaste “ check every Priyanka Chopra red carpet , she does that all the time
Yes finally
The Great Indian kitchen deserves to be in the Cannes
We are as proud as Anupama is ❤️
I would like to ask Deepika if we really make any 100% global original. Why do the Bollywood movies we watch are so inspired by other countries work? We used to copy Hollywood movies earlier but we now remake even the Korean, a country with a population of few million. That is why it was the Korean movie that won an Oscar a couple of years back, not ours. She says a lot of our movies should have been here, but can she name which ones?
