- Starting on May 10, Russian forces pushed south across the state border, razing the town of Vovchansk to the ground and bearing down on Ukraine’s second-largest city. The Kyiv Independent went to the frontline and spent time with Ukrainian forces, who were quickly redeployed to fight off the new offensive.

Hello? The Kharkiv’s offensive wasn’t supposed to reach Kharkiv, but merely distract and stretch out Ukrainian forces from sumy, where a real offensive would begin. Who knows? Maybe the Russians would make a series of offensives to put even more pressure on the Ukrainian forces, and stretch out their forces allowing Russian forces to advance further.

2:15 can anyone identify these parts on the FPV drone? Just a curiosity cause I have not seen parts like these on other drones.
Hi, just a quick guess without doing any research on it. My guess it's a range extender for the use of FPV drones. So you have like a mobile device extender (the mavic as the mobile part) and the antenna's is just to increase the flight range, controller wise and visualy.

Being from Kosovo as an Albanian who was in war with Serbia for the very exact same reason as Ukraine, I can only say that I feel every pain Ukraine is going through. My family is also connected with Croatia and Bosnia. As a child I was in Vukovar (Croatia) and Sarajevo (Bosnia) when the war broke in the 1990s. The crimes Serbs did on Croats and Bosnians was shocking but then in 1998 the Serbs raged war on Kosovo. Basically Serbs refused to accept the existence of Croats, Bosnians and Kosovo Albanians. That is why they attacked us all. When Putin said Ukraine does not have history and is Russia, I could see the Satan in him back in 2022 when he attacked whole Ukraine. I just wish Western Europe had more brain and more common sense to understand that Ukraine needs everything Nato has. If you don't help Ukraine exist as a state, you will face Russia yourself. Wish they understood this. I pray for Ukraine nation and for every Ukraine man, woman, young old and children. May God protect you all from the Russian barbarism.

We don't need any more help. You already helped us when you split our country in 2014. And in 2022, when Zelensky was prohibited from making peace.
Well that certainly wasn't the plan the US made in 2019 for the proxy war in Ukraine. Since at the time, they said that they wanted to "avoiding a damaging counter-escalation." Yet, as in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq II, now that they are losing, their default mode is to escalate no matter what the cost. They almost just can't help themselves. They were willing to accept "disproportionately large Ukrainian casualties," so perhaps disproportionately large French casualties will also be allowed. After all, the Biden administration did say that it would not send fighter jets. Now they are. They also said that they would never allow strikes within Russia. Now they are. The threat of WWIII seems not to concern them. So who knows how far they will be willing to go?

It's nice to hear the actual voice of people talking. Listening to the emotions in their speech is very important on top of the message they convey. AI voices would flatten that out completely. I left the defence force 10yrs ago, after being a career naval officer, I left because I seen what our defence force became, a pro LGBQT, black lives matters, and every other meaningless political BS narrative.
People got promoted based on their political stance, or their sexual, heritage background, not based on skills.
Our army is bay far less capable today then it was 30yrs ago, and that’s because we don’t have the best person for the job.
This also goes the same in the civilian world, this is why Russia is out producing the west combined, out performing them in electronic ware, and I can say for certain Russian have very capable subs, and this is what scares me most, we don’t have a clues where most of Russian submarine fleet is, and that scary as we walk towards nuclear Armageddo, scary times

It’s mind blowing that even with the might of entire NATO alliance, Ukraine can’t stop Russian advance and Russia has not even fully mobilized yet. Mass mobilization means Russia can easily raise an army of 5 million or more troops while increasing tank and aircraft production by a factor of 2 or 3. Russia doesn’t seem overextended. They can keep up this pressure for a long time.
That’s because the NATO alliance is not involved in the war. Rusia wouldn’t stand a chance against NATO and they know it. That is why Russia has to keep threatening the West with nuclear war if they get involved.

At the moment, Ukrainian formations have pulled up over 50 battalions to the Kharkiv area: they are being withdrawn from all directions, leaving the fronts exposed. The Russian army as part of the reconnaissance-strike contour is amazingly well-organized, and we see a significant amount of destroyed AFU forces and assets on a daily basis.
