Likewise. Fiddling with knobs is something I enjoy. The tactile experience has a certainty to it. :) However, I do prefer a PFD over steam gauges since I don't become disoriented (lost) as easily. ;)
Max, I really like that Wichita area. Great people with that wonderful midwest small-town culture. The evolution of that Garmin technology never ceases to amaze me.
I love my GA youtubers, but 2 experienced pilots running checks with an aire of fun and not boredom in their voices is just nice. :) And the Garmin g3000 flight deck is AMAZINGLY FAST and seems very easy to use.I would have to have audio notifications because that auto-throttle would've startled me, I mean without training on it. I still like to know that the plane is doing and audio notifications to setpoints/waypoints/condition changes would just help me run my mental checklist (as I do as a passenger in commerical flights). *I'm the guy that looks up the departures and approaches for my flights :x :). My home airport is YSJ, it's always a 2wide 20/30 passenger turbo-prop and the approach the pilots like to use is a deep turn and dive over water from cruising and a low-alt flight over 5 miles of trees. It's a fun approach!

I saw a CJ fly over me earlier and thought "I haven't checked in with Max in a minute. Wonder if they got that Garmin upgrade done yet?" Lo' and behold, here it is! I'm not a pilot, just an aviation fan but I am a computer nerd and an upgrade to SSDs is always huge. The fewer moving parts, the better! Now you have to get an NVME SSD for some real speed!

Hey Max, is this hardware updated covered by the warranty or you have to pay for it? I fly on A piper M600 with G3000 with old software and there are some glitches like it doesn't want to transit automatically from star to ils, i have to switch the source from nav to loc manually after established on track and i have to wait till ghost glideslope comes to the middle. And my annual will be next month, so I'm very interested in it. My plane is still under warranty
Stewart is my home airport! Commercial service is starting to rebound. Yes, Trump’s 757 was parked there for a few years. I almost barfed when I saw it (sorry, NOT a fan), but after extensive servicing, it was finally flown somewhere else, probably West Palm Beach.

I have been battling Cancer for the last 5 years and lost my Medical but have kept up with Aviation and I'm actually the Director of Operations of a Large jet company in Southern California. I will be getting my Medical back in a few weeks now as I am CANCER FREE and hopefully will be will be starting work for THRIVE AVIATION based in Las Vegas. I wanted to know what you thought of the new Sovereign Jets? Also, on your videos if you could list off your Departure clearance so we can hear what SID you have going out as well as the STAR you might be assigned, it would be fun to follow you on my ForeFlight program. Do they pay for food as well? How do you travel in non home cities? Car rentals? Who pays? Sorry

That's cool hearing updated callouts on that. I never knew that was coming from the Garmin system. I always wondered why some planes have different GPWS callouts. Other channels like Steveo and Premier1Driver seem to use the Honeywell system I believe for callouts with the male voice as do many large jets.
werid question, i think. do you stiill have to get the 100 hour inspection if the annual happens inbetween the hours before actually reaching the 100 hour point? or do you just start counting hours from them?
Love the video max but cannot understand why a lot of pilots have one voice for talking with people and then they have a lower toned voice while talking on the radio which makes them hard to understand. Not talking about you Max but your co-pilot you had in this video
Can I ask how the sectionals get updated? Is the pilot responsible for installing new sectional databases via an SD card, or pulling from the internet through an external data connection? Or is their a built-in OTA updating method?

There was an issue during installation with the checklist integration. So we had to leave maintenance without that feature. They will be installed at a later date!

what's that red light (infrared?) directed outside the the bottom of the pilots wind screen.
That helps him monitor any icing on the windshield. In one of his earlier videos you could see the icing come and go.
