I love how college administrators and coaches refer to college players as either "kids" or "adults" depending on what point they are trying to make.

As a lifelong Arkansas fan this video made me smile because you accurately represented who this man is. I remember the year he was hired by Arkansas I was so upset because of what he had done to Atlanta and Louisville. He came to my high school to recruit our eventual starter Tyler Wilson and I had an opportunity to meet him in the hallway between classes as he was talking to our football coach. I walked right past him and kept moving to the next class. I didn't want to meet him because I figured he'd be gone by the next year. It took a couple of years but he still proved me right and to this day I don't regret not meeting him in that hallway. Scumbag is right.

In the meantime, Arkansas had 10 win seasons, was very competitive in the BY FAR toughest division in college football at the time. You stole Wisconsin's coach and can't get anywhere near that level of success. Petrino is almost certainly a man of loose morals. And he can't win the big game. But he came close for you Arkansians. Nick Saban pretty much kept you all off the national championship board while Petrino was there. You could do a lot worse.

@@ebsmith29 Yes they did. The Petrino incident, known as 'Jetgate', was the last week of the regular season in 2003. Auburn went undefeated in 2004 and was snubbed by the BCS for the National Championship game. An Auburn vs USC championship game would've been much better than the 55-19 beating USC gave Oklahoma. Btw, I say all this as an Alabama fan so I'm definitely not biased.

I knew a long time college football official (a side judge) and asked him what coach was the biggest asshole he ever dealt with. It took him about a half second to say Petrino. Years later he mentioned that then Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson was hard to deal with. I asked him if Johnson was in Petrino's class, and he just scoffed that no one was in Petrino's class.
Something tells me this is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to college athletics.

This year, 2020, Petrino is the head coach at Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. Of this weird season, his squad only played a handful of games. One team which they have played twice this year is the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Petrino and the Missouri St. Bears lost the game at Conway in September, and the game in Springfield to the UCA Bears in October.

Saban did lie to the Miami Dolphins as well to their press when he said he was staying. Then turned around and went to Alabama. In all fairness, Alabama gave him an offer few coaches could refuse. But even then, Saban has the courtesy to finish at least a regular season before he goes elsewhere.

In his last game against them, Clemson hung 77 points on Petrino's Louisville team. And Clemson doesn't normally "run up the score" on teams - they prefer to play younger players early to help their development and rest the starters. Kinda lets you know how Dabo Swinney feels about Petrino (rumor outside of this is that Dabo does not like Petrino).
(Of course that LV team was so bad, I don't know that it could have been helped).

I always wondered why I never liked the football coach at the University of Idaho. It's his brother. Makes sense why they have such a terrible program.

His brother coached Idaho until last season when he was replaced with Jason Eck. I remember people going to Idaho games for the halftime show we were that bad, as soon as we replaced him we started competing with B1G and PAC12 teams, we even beat a MW team
