    Excellent quality video George. The 4270 and bailer sure does look a cool bit of kit and very well presented. It’s great that the weather has finally come good to enable these works to take place! Great stuff.

    Hi George.. love your farming videos.. So great to see some of the real life farming machines I play on the Farming Simulator 2015 PC game.. I do wrapping of hay bales for silage for my milk cows. I use a mower on a JCB fastrack tractor to cut the grass and then use a tedder to help dry it out. then when the grass has become hay.. I use a New Holland T8.435 for the needed power with the triangle back tracks to pull a New Holland BB1290 Nadal R90 Square Baler to bale up the hay into 4 foot long bales.. the baler is one of the one idea's where you don't need a tractor pulling a windrower to collect the hay in to lines.. the Nadal uses two front mounted small combine header like arms to collect the hay for baling? Then a JCB 8310 tractor will pull the McHale 998 square bale wrapper like in your video here to wrap the hay bales to turn into storage silage.? It is a far nicer and neater way to make silage than the old way of heap & compressing & covering? So cool to see some of the real machines and it shows how well to details and actions of the simulated machines is? BTW.. how long does a wrapped square hay bale take to turn fully into silage?

    Great work George fantastic bits of kit you guys have got we’ve just started our silage and hay as well we are pulling behind a new John Deere six string Baylor I picked it up yesterday and also run inside it is on new John Deere forger as you can tell we are big John Deere fans but still love the look of all makes we used to have all vents now only run is John deer’s as the vent tractor kept blowing out and gearboxes went all the time so we made a decision to go with just John deer and it has paid off fantastic keep the great work up

    I am always amazed how far farming equipment has come i remeber working on our family farm in vermont with an old super c doing mowing and raking and the h doing crimping and baling with the 2 cylinder wisconsin engine on the baler. 50 lb bales throw them up in truck or on wagon and off to the barn

    Nice video George, seems like the swath is slightly too wide for the pick up, your having to run over the grass a little with the jcb and then the baler doesn’t pick it all up. Leaves a lot of material on the field. The fast trac looks great, your a lucky boy 👍.

    Nice video as ever George. Good to be out in the field with the smell of fresh cut grass eh! Now, just to let you know. If? you're free and fancy coming it's Carrington May bank holiday. Hopefully make it this year. Would be great to see you and give you a demo of the engine :) I know you would enjoy it, working tractors, as well as the usual at these shows.

    • @GeorgeSaunders
      @GeorgeSaunders  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      aussiefendt howdy mate, well obviously the fastrac is faster and far more comfortable than the fendt however the fendts are put together much better than the JCB's the build quality still isn't quite there, but it's not bad by any means. I would probably say if you've got lots of roadwork/distance to travel and good backup from your dealer go with the fastrac, otherwise stick with the fendt. Have you tried a 4220?

    • @Gareth-pi4sp
      @Gareth-pi4sp 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the suspension wouldn't make it lift up and down like that unless the field was really rough but the wheels don't move up or down meaning it's something to do with running the baler or pto related

    • @joebarton2700
      @joebarton2700 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably just a bit of bounce from the varying power requirements of the baler. The fastracs are suspended at all four corners so any bumps are a bit more obvious.
      It'll be the same as any other tractor, the nose lifts sometimes with the torque, but this is rhythmic because it's caused by the baler strokes rather than the driver putting his toe down.

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joe has it - it’s to do with the torque pull as the baler stroke goes in and out, you can actually hear it in time with the surge.
