Mavs take down the Clippers! The Full Round 1 Recap Mini Movie | NBA Playoffs

- Some of the biggest names in basketball went head-to-head in the first round between the Dallas Mavericks and LA Clippers. Luka Dončić. James Harden. Kyrie Irving. Paul George. Kawhi Leonard. Russell Westbrook. But while the Mavs' 4-2 series victory was thanks in large part due to Luka and Kyrie's scoring brilliance, it was a true team effort. Derrick Jones Jr. played stifling defense on the perimeter. P.J. Washington Jr. stood on business. And Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II were big on both ends of the floor. In a series full of superstars, the Mavs' supporting players starred in their roles and helped lead the team to its first series win since 2022. Next stop: the second round against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Anyone who watches this and doubts that Kai's importance and effect on this team is delusional. We see what he does on the court but the behind-the-scenes stuff is absolute fire.

I don’t care how this playoffs go but I really want Kyrie and Luka to stay together as long as possible. Kyrie is like a big bro to Luka and he’s learning from the best.
Kyrie contract is up next year then a player option which he will opt out bc of the new tv deals. Rather he stays is the real question. If he doesn't Mavs gotta have another star bc you can tell how much having a 2nd star relieves Lukas personality and if he isn't or another star isn't here, I fear Luka will leave as well , if we don't have a chip by then anyway . @@JJW419As a Slovenian i can ASSURE you Luka ain't never leaving Dallas even if he ends up with none rings or 1 like Dirk. You don't have to stress about that. He already said in multiple Slovenian interviews that he loves living in Dallas and loves the people, also there is a bunch of Slovenians living in Dallas aswell. He said he would like to stay as long as they would want him there 😊
Man look at Kai at 6:40. He's clearly the spiritual heart of this team, especially for the young guys. He's a perfect fit for Dallas.
Dude is so well spoken man. I didn't like him that much before he came to Dallas. Thought he was a drama queen. I quickly realised that the only drama queens are US media and certain nba teams (khm Nets). As a die hard Luka fan since he was 16 I love how Kyrie and Luka pair up and love the fact that some games Kyrie carries and aome games Luka carries. Great chemistry
@@johnwild8217 No, I think Kyrie was rightfully criticized because he really did create unnecessary drama. But he's clearly humbled himself, learned to focus on basketball again, and consequently he's having a great season.
Only thing I found a bit odd / concerning is that luka was not in the huddle... seems to be very unlike him no?

As a Laker fan, I have the Mavericks winning it all. Specially seeing Kyrie be a true leader in this team. Luka is the head of the pack but Kai is their heart and soul. He guides these guys to understand what it takes to win because he's been to many Finals appearance earlier in his career. Also wanting him to win his 2nd ring after all the drama he's been before signing in Dallas. It's gonna be a redemption for him and prove the doubters wrong that Ky and Luka won't work. Love seeing Kyrie's maturity as a leader.

Its amazing to see a team with so much chemistry. Every single guy on that team, from the coaches to the players, act like brothers. It's a joy to watch. It's so wholesome to see how connected Luka and Ky are. It was the perfect person to put next to Luka, and vice versa. These 2 were destined to be teammates, at least it feels that way.
