@@TheGoldProject I bought The Women hardcover at Walmart. Haven’t read it yet as I am trying to read some of our community book group picks. I will let my neighbor borrow it before I read it I think because of the other books I need to read first. Goal is 24 in 2024 and so far read 14 and started 15. I started reading just this year on February 17. My mom’s family is from Arkadelphia, AR.
Fellow middle school teacher here. Thanks for sharing your top 10 reads. I have similar taste in books as you, so, I just bought: Small Great Things, Part of Your World, The Only One Left, and Funny Story. My favorite read so far this year has been The Women, as well. My love of reading started with Nancy Drew as a kid. I continue to love mysteries. My favorite book series is A Sweetwater Falls Mystery by Elle Gray. So far, she has 9 books in the series.
Books. I like hearing about the books you've read. Our tastes don't always match up but it's still nice to learn about new authors or even get reasons for giving a book or author another chance,
I have, The Women almost ready to pick up at my library. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I haven’t read The Four Winds yet, but I have read, The Great Alone and it was so good! Keep the tissues nearby for that one, too!
I love how Abby Jiminez pulls characters from her previous BOOKS in the series and they're not obvious. In Just for the Summer it makes me want to reread the other two books again. I just finished JFTS and loved it so much! Kristin Hannah has made me love historical fiction and got me over my reading hump with The Women. I also got to talk to my mom and mother in law about their experience with the Vietnam War so it was kind of a bonding moment with us. I haven't read Great Alone yet but it's on my TBR. Highly recommend The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel. And the Flight Girls by Noelle Salazar.
Books! Wow 38 books read is awesome! I've read 29 and my goal is 50. I just finished Ruth Ware's One Perfect Couple. Thanks for sharing the books you're reading.
Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite new authors. Small Great Things is one of my favorite books ever -- I re-read it for a book club a few months ago. Still relevant. I am currently reading The Women for book club!
Books! The women is next on my TBR but gotta admit that I am kinda intimidated by it cause it’s so long lol. One of my favorite books this year is American Dirt. It’s a tough read but just eye opening. I Love and appreciate the research the author did to bring light to what our neighbors to the south have gone through. You should read it
Thanks so much for sharing these. I have read a lot of books thanks to your recommendations. I read The Women over a weekend as well and months later I still think about it and feel sad I finished it. It was a great book. Keep sharing!
Books! One of my favorite books this year is MY NAME IS BARBRA by Barbra Streisand but it is LONG! The book on my Kindle was 1,385 pages, June 1-19,. was reading this book. My other books so far are dwarfed by this one LOL.
I completely agree with this top 10! I haven’t read that book by Nicholas sparks but I may add that to my list. I would recommend Four winds as your next Kristin Hanna book, that was my first but I still love the women the most! Also check out Julie Soto, she’s a new to me author and now one of my favorites
Books! I loved The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah. My goal this summer is to read through the entire Throne of Glass series by Sara J Maas. I’m adding The Women to my TBR!
So far I have read 34 books out of my goal of 50 by the end of the year and eight so far are favorites. Killers of a Certain age ( can't wait for the second book to come out), Remarkably Bright Creatures, the Bodyguard, The Cabin at the end of the Train by Michael Ivanov, Love and Luck by Jenna Evans, The secret book and scone society book 1, Two parts sugar, One part Murder by Valerie Burns, Race to the Bottom of the Earth: Surviving Antarctica by Rebecca E.F. Barone.
I really enjoyed this video because it narrowed down the list of books to the good ones. If I start reading a book i know fairly early if i am “into” it & if i don’t like it i get stuck and don’t finish the book and don’t move to another book.
I think it is great for people who can do audiobooks. My brain has trouble focusing when I’m just listening. I’m a visual learner, so I can’t do it. I wish I could, though.
Thank you so much for watching.

Are you finding yourself reading the physical book more/less that your kindle? Thanks for sharing.
I am using my kindle more.
How do you feel about audio “reading “ books? I love reading and having an actual book but sometimes it is hard to find time and sit down to read.
