    Your cottage looks really cosy since you painted it white. It would be nice to have a look on the inside and if you have changed anything. Your hard work has made the homestead alive.

    Good to see you back - I've recently turned off notifications for loads of channels on TH-cam because I get far too many, but you're one of the few that survived the cull! It's great to see you're still making good progress. All the best :)

    That looks like a ¾ inch tap, get yourself some ¾ heavy Guage Hydrodare won't crack as low as -18C. Add a T Piece before you go in to outside tap and bring some hydro into the cottage and you can have water inside, also try get yourself a mattock and you'll fly through the trench 👍 Well done delighted to see you did it 😁

      Yes don’t get the cheaper pipe. You won’t want to have to redo stuff.

    Where do you get the soft green mesh fencing you have there, beside where you were digging? I don't see it for sale in my usual hardware, garden shops, as I have been looking out for it.

    Good morning :) Quick question: where did the stone that was used to build your cottage come from? Do you have a quarry close by?

    • @thebridgemanscottage
      @thebridgemanscottage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'd say back 300 years ago they'd have built using whatever they found about the site. There are a LOT of rocks about, there's a townland in the area that translates into "Rock"

    I'm confused - if the exposed pipes freeze (the ones you said would remain exposed) then surely the pipes will crack?

    • @thebridgemanscottage
      @thebridgemanscottage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very thick pipe and if I'm on top of things I'll let the water run on the nights that frost sets in.

    Since you have water pressure, why don't you run it into your cottage? It looks as if you're just going to run it to the outside of the cottage, then fill up buckets, then haul it into the cottage.

    • @thebridgemanscottage
      @thebridgemanscottage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's all the pipe I have, a neighbour gave it to me for free, I can't afford to buy the pipe I need right now

    Good to see you are making progress, but you have to get that water pipe burred before winter, go and ask one the farmers for a favor or dig a couple of meters per day it can be done just challenge yourself !!
