That oak looks nice, I think maybe a bit tighter grained that what we have down here. Shorter growing season?

That’s a possibility. Or perhaps a different sub-species of oak. Whenever I see pictures of the majestic oak trees in your neck of the woods I wonder why we don’t have them here.
