It's going to be fascinating watching something like a theme park being constructed from scratch. Looking forward to it, and fingers crossed it goes ahead!
Huge times for construction fans on the Thameslink line the next few years. We get to see Luton Town FC's new stadium right next to the line go up, plus this temporary small station, then hopefully the big station and Universal going up in the distance. What a time to be alive!
@@ProjectUniversalUK Sorry, I worded my message poorly, I was aware of that but was meaning it would only be in situ temporarliy like they are building it now if they have to later upgrade it. My message doesn't read like that though, thanks for replying and sorry for the confusion!
According to the recent council meeting, the small station being built will be temporary until the larger upgraded station when Universal Studios is given the go ahead.
Almost certain it will happen. It's supported by all the local councils, Reeves is desperate for private investment and Raynor seems to approve any project that lands on her desk.

This small station is not temporary. This is the final design for the wixams station which will have to be scraped if universal do decide to go ahead.

The blue thing is a turnstile for the builders. It controls their entry and exit on site.
Yeah, no chance of an early shoot on Fridays 😂

Grey mud and historical railway sidings. What more could one ask for.
Living the dream
Is Universal and the UK government any closer to reaching an agreement for construction to finally start
We had an update in the house of commons last week, all we know is talks are 'going well'. Other than that, we just don't know.

I've read it was signed off to start. It was a news article yesterday but it was inews so no idea if its true
