      Eisenhower is responsible for developing the "deep state" bureacratic machine that keeps the government moving along its ever expanding and dangerous path, to the point where the CiC is "managed" and actively undermined by the bureacracy every step of the way. He feared nuclear war, and sought to create a backup government fully capable of replacing the publicly known government in the event war came to US soil. He succeeded at that. And his own program was the existential threat to this country that he later felt the need to warn us about. Thanks, Ike.

      Milley gave a glowing success report to bolster the American MIC who were the main beneficiaries of the Afghanistan involment. He and the other general hands were greased in return. Comrade Biden and Barry financially benefited from the debacle as well.

    • @havable
      @havable 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Term limits hand our govt over to lobbyists giving them 100% complete control. If you want to reform the system, check out ranked choice voting. Through it, you can have multiple parties without voters feeling like they're wasting a vote on their first choice. If we want pols who are our *first choice* not *the lesser of two evils* we need ranked choice. Term limits wouldn't fix squat. The corruption would remain, there would just be new faces every year who are harder and harder to track. Also, under term limits there is zero accountability for any politician. One of the few ways we have to hold them accountable is to vote them out. You cant vote someone out who is arbitrarily disallowed from running. Under term limits, we'd have *nothing but* Wall St reps. The only person who would benefit aside from lobbyists is Jimmy Dore b/c under term limits the squad would never get large enough to actually deliver on the things Dore claims to want.

      @@havable So, now we turn to superstitious curses? In our 20 years of so called nation building in Afghanistan the Left in America tried to turn this fundamentalist Muslim society into a Western styled liberal nation. The Left’s efforts were doomed. America alienated for religious reasons most of the Afghans so they turned to the Taliban. Furthermore, the Afghan Army was taught to rely on mostly air support to fight as opposed to nearly all ground fighting only. So, when we shut off the air support the Afghan Army was not ready to fight a purely ground war and they collapse having no heart to fight a losing cause.

In the case of what happened, the pull-out debacle was foreseeable (excuse my spelling) by even the common person. How come the generals and Biden claim they couldn't predict how bad it would be? We still have citizens and Afghan employees left behind. I understand they say they're trying to get them out, but I believe those who couldn't make it to Kabul airport in time are basically on their own to figure out how to survive. O. M. G. One way to clean house at the Pentagon is to dismiss all the generals and admirals and do not replace them. Those ranks can be left vacant and some other officers assigned the temporary status of Brevet Generals. The only good way to reestablish the rule of law and civilian rule and clean up the criminal culture of the Pentagon is to get rid of all of the crooks and criminals. Once the Generals are gone then they can start to remove corrupt Pentagon officials and start the process of cleaning up other organized criminal enterprises and organized crime networks like the FBI, CIA, Department of Justice and US State Department. Start by getting rid of all the crooks and criminals that abuse power, sick the secret police on ordinary American civilians, and commit human rights abuses against innocent American civilians.

I am not ashamed of any of the airmen, soldiers or sailors. I am proud of them. The leadership do not know how to win. My brothers and I were all in the military, and we are the last of our family to serve. We served from 1595, yes, 1595 all males in my family served. Some made it their career, but we mostly served in war for a short time, then returned to our vocation. My wife's father retired as a colonel having served in WWII and Korea as an artillery officer. Our sons will never serve, and I hope their sons do not, either. This military "leadership" is a joke. They are a political arm, very much like the Spetsnaz or Stasi. These people are evil.

    The problem with the military these days (especially among the officer corps) is once you reach the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, or perhaps even major The environment is such that you aren’t a leader anymore, you are a politician. Actually making tactical and strategic assessments and being honest about them is no longer the goal. It’s all about massaging the egos of your superiors so they will support you in the career advancement. It is ultimately a culture of lies at that point. And this is precisely why Afghanistan and so many other conflicts go wrong. Everybody is denying reality to get to the next rank.
    The only way we will get military “leaders“ to be actual leaders is to get back to the fundamentals of military doctrine and place a huge gap between military strategy and politicians…. Which will be almost impossible.
