    Loved seeing the goldfish pond turn into Koi pond...definitely makes me think bigger. Thanks, Mark for telling us viewers "you love to pay it forward". I am so impressed with majority of Greg's builders having such a giving heart. I love you Job, Greg. Thank you!!

    Best knowledge I learned when pond building was to install a skimmer box etc. And that was from watching the aquascape step by step videos 😊
    trying to buy the equipment in the UK..... wow :( so many pond shops had no idea what I was even talking about. Managed to find a small unbranded skimmer box online. Best thing ever!!! Lol. Like other have said you go from weekly cleaning to..... well we empty our skimmer box probably once a month unless the lawn has been cut. So good to see someone spreading the word in the UK :)

    Good morning Greg hope your having an amazing day. Another great vlog. Love hearing all your contractors talk about their success after becoming a certified aquascape contractor and learning from the best in the world. Love what you've done for the industry and for your costumers. Awsome. Your a very smart man.. Another awsome video like always Greg. Keep up the awsome work and have an amazing week and ill see you next video like always. Ive always wanted to ask can you guys make tree stumps with natural holes in to use in the ponds instead of real driftwood. You could creat ones to go right over the spillways or even design ones to go infont of them. Think it would be amazing thing I think that would be another big hit for aquascape to creat your own and sell them to the public.

    I have built a new pond using all aquascapes products. I recently added a large old snag, and my water is now brown. I have a dosing System connected to the skimmer, and I chose maintain to help with keeping my system clean I also have over 1200 bio balls in the bio filter my temperature of water is now around 50° and dropping. Could you please suggest something.? Thanks.

      Use activated carbon to remove the tannins

      The Pond Advisor I am in Washington State. A snag is a old dead tree stump or tree that is still standing or has fallen.

      Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy Thank you for your response. I will purchase some. I actually was reading about activated carbon,but I was under the impression that I should use it in early spring summer not winter.

      Elardo Fleming yes the first 25 years I was building assorts a real starving artist (my guys would earn the money) now I can help more people dream, plan and enjoy ponds and water features. Now I build much better ponds for my clients, not having to worry if what the client asks for is going to work. Keep it simple, ecosystems work for low maintenance less attention, less work beautiful works of art. Thank you for your time!!!

    • @ThePondAdvisor
      @ThePondAdvisor 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Inside Man you are right most caddis flies are fine but these insects are 100% caddis flies (their are 14500 described species of caddisfly) we have had multiple students and university look at them, we have had a problem with them chewing liners for 10 plus years.
