- Camper Van furniture Build.....
The galley unit / kitchen unit pod is an essential component to any camper van build or van conversion. I chose to use 18mm easten plywood (to build a B&Q replica kitchen base unit) an undermount / drop in black stainless steel sink, a 12/24 volt DC fridge, and a 3000w 2 zone induction hob. I hope that you find inspiration from this galley unit / kitchen pod build.

DIY CAMPER VAN CONVERSION - Iveco Daily - REBUILD!
In no doubt within my mind! The 2005 LWB Iveco Daily with over 317.000 miles on the clock (one company owner) I bought, was ready for the scrap yard!
Over a period of a year I completely renovated / restored / recycled the van, saving it from the scrap yard.
The second year it took, was to actually build the campervan you see today.
5 Years on and our needs and uses have changed for what we need out of the van.

Excellent craftmanship and very stylish cabinet (the copper paint & lighting takes it to another level), are you going to upgrade the vans rear suspension to 4.5 tonnes?
Thank you matey 👌👍. No, I've gone standard on the rear (due to the air bags) and upgrading the front. My aim is to make the build lighter so this will be the heaviest piece of furniture. 😉👌👍👍👍.

if it were me id seperate the water parts and electric parts, with a proper wall and sealant like a shower has. A leak could cause a lot of damage
This van rebuild isn't probably going to stick to some ideas that I've initially had as in electrical lay out wise, I may split the 240v and 24v system in two areas of the van in order to balance out weight, so primarily, I think that kitchen unit is going to house the batteries and 24v side of the electrical components (like in the old build) and the 240v electrical components will be under the bench seat. As I said in the video 'it's almost an built unit with alterations needed" so I should be able to keep the electrical components away from any potential water leakage/drop off points like how I did it in the old build. The sink will be sealed along with the grey water pipes Vulcanised, with the taps water pipe routed in such away they shouldn't be any cross contamination to electrical components. It worked well that way for the past 5 years bud 😉👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan i see, good effort, sounds alright. One other thing that sprang to mind when you mentioned the bench seat. In the video you said about it not being comfortable. I've had a lot of thoughts about doing it in my van. I see a lot of youtube videos of people who have really square seats. Looks uncomfortable, im a lanky lad so I'd need something I can relax on. For me, id want a sofa feel, I think the trick is 2 main things, decent back support and good angles. For back support that lower back section need to be pushed in, like you have on ergonomic seats. Then for angles Id want to almost be leaning back, so that my knees are raised and by back is slanted back, id still want my head facing forwards so I could be sociable with someone else in the van, but at the same time the sensation that im laying back and fully supported, so that its so comfortable that I could fall asleep and wake up feeling comfortable still. No easy task in my opinion making a super comfy seat, but im gonna have a go, maybe spend a bit extra time experimenting. lol
No, it's definitely the most difficult thing I've come across trying to find a good bench seat arrangement. Third go at it bud 😅👌👍👍👍.
@@Iveavan yeah man, I will enjoy watching what you come up with. Another example of what I mean, if you search Egg Swing Chairs, the seat isnt flat, its like a curve, so you sink into it. anything like that will be comfortable im sure. but easier said than done :D
How do you pull in the side door on a Iveco daily van to stop it from leaking when it rains you said you were gonna put thing up on your site but I haven't seen it yet. I hope you can do it soon so I can get some ideas how to pull around door in my Iveco. Thank you very much for your assistance.
