  • I made this iMac stand to lift my monitor off the desk a little bit more in order to be at a better viewing angle. But I wanted to take it one step further and add a hidden wireless charger to it! Let me know what you think of this project in the comments down below! Thanks for watching!

      Hi, how much weight can the wood glue support adding the small shelf? the shelf itself contributes to an increased weight but its little bit complicated to integrate. thanks! Congrats on final results.

    Now you need a video of how you made the 45 degree router jig! 😄

    I'm surprised those 45˚angles don't make it too weak to hold an iMac. They're pretty heavy so that's a lot of pressure on the glued joints! Maybe your shelf adds enough strength to make it last. Really nice design anyway. I'm planning to make one this weekend with mango wood, but long enough to hold 3 screens.

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, still holding strong! The shelf definitely adds a lot of strength for it overall.
      Awesome! Good luck with the build!

    ouh, wireless charger works on wood. it's new to me. but, is it ok to charge there? won't make the charger damaged right?

    • @DoingWhatever
      @DoingWhatever  ปีที่แล้ว

      yea if the wood is thin enough, the wireless charger will still charge the device. No damage to the wood or charger.
