For those not familiar with Doctor Who: "I tried to talk, I want you to remember that. I tried to reach out. I tried to understand you, but I think you understand us perfectly, and I think you just don't care! I don't know if you are here to invade, infiltrate or just replace us, I don't suppose it really matters now; you are monsters! That is the role it seems you are determined to play....so it seems I must play mine! The man that stops the monsters! I'm sending you back to your own dimension. Who knows? Some of you may even survive the trip. And if you do, remember this: YOU are not welcome here! This plane is protected! I am the Doctor and I name you...the Boneless!" - The 12th Doctor sending multidimensional invaders back to their dimension (Flatline) "You will save Clara, and you will do it NOW. Or I will reign hell on you for the rest of time." - also The 12th Doctor (Face the Raven) "He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing… the fury of the Time Lord… and then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he had run away from us and hidden. He was being kind." - A quote from the enemy about the 10th Doctor (The Family of Blood) "I've always found that violent exercise makes me hungry, don't you agree?" - The 3rd Doctor (Can't remember this episode name) "If you take the comedy away, the Doctor is terrifying. This guy’s running into the middle of every fight he can find and deciding who should win. People get one chance, then he exterminates their species." - Stephen Moffat, Doctor Who writer and showrunner for the 11th and 12th Doctors' runs. Just.........just don't f with the Doctor. Really. You get one chance to run or learn kindness. One.
There are several episodes of the actual show where The Doctor gets nerfed heavily, because if he wasn't, the monster of the episode would pose zero threat. When you piss him off and he leaves, don't follow, because him leaving is him being kind.
You can get into Doctor Who without knowing the 40+ years of baggage behind it. You have the "Classic" series which is everything fro the 60's to 80's. Then there's "New Who" that picked back up in 2005 with the episode "Rose". It's many people gateway to the series. It's fresh enough for new viewers and familiar enough for the older fans
Fun Fact: The Doctor is arguably the strongest character to ever appear on Death Battle, since he has an item that gives him complete control over all of Marvel and DC.
The Glory is something that does not belong to The Doctor and has never belonged to him. It is controlled by the Doctor’s former cyber man companion Kroton and therefore completely inadmissible as any influence by Kroton would be outside interference, nor could you make an argument for The Doctor to ever have it. Also, multiple characters like Superman could simply resist it even if he somehow was granted it.
They went easy on Rick. The Doctor BEST most POWERFUL weapons only get hinted at LOL. Also, Operation phoenix isn't battle practical. we had a whole episode that showed Rick would spawn defenseless and kept dying over and over again. But even in the analysis, they showed the Doctor effectively ending peoples lives, but NOT killing them. Trapped in every mirror, lost in the event horizon of a black hole, and suspended in time forever as a scarecrow. As the punished scare crow admitted, "We wanted to live FOREVER..... so the Doctor made sure that we DID......" The Doctor can end Rick without even killing him. Operation Phoenix was a charity they granted so this wasn't a whole ass Korra vs Storm again.
Hey Jay, I know Doctor who may seem really long, but most people, including myself, just start at the modern era with the 9th doctor that premiered in 2005. From what I understand, it’s sort of a reboot for new audiences. What helps even more is that you can pretty much watch any Doctor’s season as it’s own era since each season doesn’t tie too much directly into the previous one.
Yeah, it’s mostly a family show but heavily Sci-fi related and few slights of horror in-between, which we all love. Episode 5 Dalek is where you will get hooked. Of course there will be Trash episodes like the slitheens one taking over Downing Street, but there are also pure gems. Season 1-4 were the golden age of Doctor. I clocked out after Matt Smith took over, I just no longer cared.
Time Lords control all of existence, created science, mathematics etc. That Brown box the Doctor had is called The Moment. It is a galaxy eater. It can destroy an entire galaxy in one moment. Time Lords can solo fiction. Classic Doctor Who is on Britbox.
This fight is apparently the first one to have it where the other side didn’t fight back at all. The Doctor knew he outclassed Rick in every way possible, he didn’t even have to fight back. Outsmarted him by making him shoot himself. Goes to show how he’s a pacifist, and Rick would’ve been done if he wasn’t
Boys start at series 1 of doctor who in the reboot in 2005, that’s the best place to start. If u like it, you can watch classic who after you finish new who. Great reaction boys!
Honestly thought itd be Rick due to popularity/cartoon shenanigans and limiting the Doctor to what the TV show depicts. Timelords like the Doctor are absolute monsters if your familiar with what they get up to in the novels(creating physics and such) lol
Doctor Who is really one of the cornerstones of Sci-Fi Tv imo. It was way before Star Wars & Trek. There are currently 13 seasons of the 'new reboot' starting from the 9th Doctor in 2005 each with around 14 episodes each. Ngl im a big Who fan but ive not seen much of the classic Who mostly because the production is a hurdle for me.. but i get all the context i need from the reboot. Id give it a chance, plus if you're a popular british actor/actress theres a 99% chance youll see them pop up in an episode at some point. I knew the Doctor was going to win just because of how smart he is; that calculation he did was like a 2 minute clip & he pretty much always uses the enemies hubris and weapons against them. So there are many examples of him thinking of plans on his feet like that. Rick gets careless too often & In a fight to the death, one slip up and he's done for.
Easiest way to watch Doctor Who imo is the streaming service Brit Box. It has all the surviving episodes of Classic Doctor Who (there are some of the 1st & 2nd Doctor that are lost). 1st and 2nd Doctor are in black & white. 3rd is the first in color. 4th is the most popular of the Classic Doctors and my favorite. 5th is alright. 6th was done dirty by bad writing and bad show runners. 7th is best in his second season and then the show was canceled in 1989.
The Doctor is realistically Unkillable in every sense of the word using the comics and audio books(which are all canon) with access to the glory he has complete control over all of fiction. And in one of the novels the doctor was erased from the story by the author and he rewrote himself back into the story. Defying the very author that created him. And then went on to talk about the story as if he was a real person. In our world and discussed the story plot holes.
Classic DR Who is now on tubi, 2005-2022 is on max, and 2023 + is on Disney. - best to start at 2005 and then do classic if it clicks (as it should) with you! BBC America doesn't have as i understand it any Who now.
The doctor can just erase him with existence with a button press, lmao. The doctor is unironically stronger than most db combatants with some of the crazier feats he has.
Time Lords are gods that created Time Travel, science, maths, and all the laws of reality, time and space. They exist outside of Time as well. They can erase every universe in the past, present and future simultaneously until only time Lords exist.. Rick had it easy with the Doctor. Rassilon would simply erase Rick or completely rewrite Rick's DNA
@@kingbrolythedeity. Night will fall and drown the earth when a good man goes to war. The Doctor has been doing this shit for thousands of year -eons?- he had this one.
