Love seeing your homestead, all the animals, and hearing what your family is up to. I've never heard of an oven having a 'slow cooker' setting, but that's a great idea! I would love to live somewhere that allows me to raise chickens - it's so fascinating to me, and wonderful to have eggs on hand without paying crazy prices or running to the store.
My family is pretty picky so a lot of times I just watch recipe videos and dream. My family would love that breakfast casserole!! We are in the process of figuring out how to build our coop and getting everything ready to go for chickens. Seeing your abundance of eggs made me extra excited!!
Oh you are going to love having chickens!!!! Are you in the US? I get mine from vallleyfarmshatchery.com and I’ve never had any trouble with them being sickly or anything. They add extras in the box, in case something happens to one during shipping. I like them because the company was started by a Alabama homeschooler and has grown from those humble beginnings. I love stories like that 🥰
Yay a Lori vlog makes my heart happy. I am going to try that biscuit casserole tomorrow night for dinner. I bought eggs the other day 5 dozen for $4.70 they are not pretty blue ones like yours but I am sure they will taste great in the casserole. Lane is a cutie pie and a great helper. That egg and biscuit casserole looks so excellent! I will be trying that sometime, also with biscuit dough from scratch like you. :) I bet it would be really delicious with cut up ham in place of the bacon too, if there was some to use up. I have an abundance of eggs and that casserole just might help use up an 18 count easily. I made three batches of breakfast burritos and put them in the freezer but still have an abundance and get more every day and now that the hatched ducklings are bigger mama is starting to lay again too so add another egg each day there.
Yes ma’am! I normally do sell a lot of them but we had been on a trip and I got sort of behind and backed up on the whole process so…..but I am usually able to sell a lot of them ❤️
