海外の方々に伝わってほしい。この長岡大花火大会は、戦争の空襲で亡くなった沢山の人の命と、死別を余儀なくされた家族、知人を癒すためでもあり、世界が平和である事を祈るものであり、その後、長岡に起こった自然災害からの復興への祈り、決意であるのです。「世界中の爆弾が花火になればいいのに。」そうすれば、皆が幸せなのに。
私たちは、恨みません。ただ、二度と無いことを願うのです。いつまでも、この花火を心安らかに観覧する事ができる世でありますように。

長岡大花火大会は長岡空襲からの復興を祈願して、フェニックスは、中越大震災からの復興を祈願して始まりました。フェニックスを打ち上げる計画が持ち上がった時、地元の人々はかなり反対しました。復興にお金を掛けなければならない時に、花火なんかにお金を使っていられない！と。私もそう思っていました。そんな多くの反対の中、それでも打ち上げに尽力した方々は想像を絶するご苦労があったと思います。でも、初めてフェニックスを見た時、涙が出ました。周りの観客の方々もみんな泣いていました。多くの人の悲しみ疲れた心が、あの大きな音と平原さんの歌で祓われた様でした。少し希望が湧いたのです。あの時、私たちの明日も見えない絶望的な状態だった心を、フェニックスが強い力で明るく照らしてくれました。また来年も見たい、と来年の話までさせてくれたのです。(笑)
もしよければ、いつか長岡にお越しください。きっとこの素敵な動画の100倍凄い感動が待っていますよ！

if your from the state's do some research on the thunder over Louisville. was a 14 hr drive for me from Maryland spent the weekend totally worth it biggest show in the US i think, 2 weeks before the Kentucky derby makes the 4th of July look like a joke, plus all day long before it gets dark is an air show of hundreds of planes

In Japan, people call fireworks "HANABI(花火)" .
花(hana) means "flower", and 火(bi) means "fire".

It also means a prayer for recovery from the natural disaster that occurred in Nagaoka City.We hope "bombs around the world can be fireworks" and that everyone will be happy.
We do not hate. However, I strongly hope that there will be no war again. We hope that you will be in a peaceful world where you can see this fireworks in peace.

Like, after watching this show manny times, i began to just love the music. The assosiation of hope and prosperity whith this fireworkdisplay and this song, after this awfull year for manny of us, i hope we can somehow celebrate the defiet of corona next year, with maybe an even bigger show...and yes..this same tune. Although i don't understand what she is singing...music is universal annyway. So..💥❤❤💥., just lets pray. 🙏🏽 Amen.

That should be 2000 fireworks were launched. 2000 meters is 2 kilometres or just over 1.2 miles.

No, it should not. The phoenix fireworks at the Nagaoka festival is 2 kilometers long (1.2 miles). The number of fireworks launched in two nights is approx 20,000.
