    I am loving those chrome wheels..

      If you search on your dealers online shop after the spare parts for the chrome version of the cars , you might find them. Or, this rig is cheap, you'll take the kit, body's already painted.😉
      Glad that I helped. Thank you and have a great weekend.

    Not a lot of Euros for a fine Buggy! I've known People here in the States, who modify and RACE them!
    Ball Bearings...... SORE spot from Tamiya!!! 😠😠😠
    I'm about to unbox a $1200 Tamiya Dump Truck - that comes with BUSHINGS!! 😵😖 WHY?
    Anyway, I really like what you've done with both of those. You have a real Talent for decorations!

    • @CarminesRCTipsandTricks
      @CarminesRCTipsandTricks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny thing..... You removed a 25 turn Motor for a Torque Tuned...
      But the Tamiya Torque Tuned Motor IS 25 TURN also!! 😳 Maybe the first Motor had stronger Magnets, therefore more Ampere Draw.

    • @RCBirds
      @RCBirds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Making cars cheaper by leaving out parts whichs are somehow standard seems to be a kind of company policy. I can understand this als long it is the motor, or suspension hop-ups, but ball bearings... USA has Gast Edddy and we got Carson. So, if you buy a kit you just add a little fee in your mind😉.
      Semis are another point, they are so expensive, ball bearings should be included. They also got only friction dampers. Oils are still today hard to find. On the other hand if you invest int the MFC, a multi-channel radio and additional RC funtion sets, at some point you don't even care of buying ball beaings, too🤨

    Very true there cheap and I’ve 2 like you. I’ve a racing fighter shelf queen and I bash the hell outta my Neo fighter but I’ve upgraded it with similar shocks you’ve got and put big blitzer beetle wheels on it and a bigger servo and there both brushless. And yes the rear Tamiya super grippers do not last long, also the chassis at the nose and rear tends to break I’m on my 3rd on my neo fighter!! 😆Great video good to see your builds there 😎👍 I’m subscribing mate 🙏

      Thank you for watching and your input. You made cool racing machines out of them👍. The ammount of improvement options is great for the DT-03. Keep going.

  • @NordicRC
    @NordicRC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice. What shocks are they? Uhh. And the Carson all terrain tires actually wear out on tarmac just as fast as the spiked stock ones.

    • @RCBirds
      @RCBirds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay, that I have not expected.😥 But I'm thankfull for every tip. And of course, that I'll have to test before putting money money in unnecessary hop-ups. This might save some especially on the family project.😉

      @@RCBirds I do have a DT-03 video somewhere on my channel where I test run the Carson’s. I was surprised too. Only lasted 2 1/2 batteries. Admittedly - the tests where on rough asphalt with lots of slides, brakes etc.

    How do the shocks compare to normal cv tamiya stuff mines not the best on the cv shocks. Both look quality and loving the lights on the racing fighter. Check my two short videos. Awaiting some parts and will put a build video. ✌️👌👍

    • @RCBirds
      @RCBirds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really don't know. Because I buildet the hop-ups straight when I builded the cars. The original ones pobably will do a good job. But Tamiya uses these rings for the adjustment of the shocks. The hop-ups can be adjusted very fine becazse of the threaded rings. And you can't loose them like the plastic ones. I prefere the ones on the Neo. They are from 3Racing. They are slightly better than the GPMs on the Racing. But that is my oppinion.

    • @RCBirds
      @RCBirds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @reitplace4765 a year ago I would have said DT-03. Bigger motor and mor hop-ups. But as I saw - I think it was Craig from the OAG - how well the Holiday runs against more high-end buggies, I wynted one, too.

    • @reitplace4765
      @reitplace4765 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RCBirds Exactly what I was wondering.. I want to be able to run it on my track and Holiday buggy seems solid even though it doesn't look like a Racer. and the DT-03 looks like a racer but does it handle as well? This helps I'll have to watch OAG vid on it.

    • @RCBirds
      @RCBirds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@reitplace4765 for me the DT-03's great. But I don't drive it stock, knucklearms, universals, a bigger pinion, motor everything upgraded. So I don't have the comparison to a stock car. Some put brushless motors into it, to give it a little more umpf. The basic is great and with all the after-market parts you can do a lot of custom stuff with it.
