- In this video I look at some samples of the new offerings from T-Rex Studio in the 1/35 3D Printed series. I compare them to my own actual clamps and yammer on about clamps like it matters.
There is a black spot early in the video. It was a mistake in Premiere I didn't catch. I'm not rerendering it, so my apologies. I tried. it's midnight, I have to work tomorrow. It is what it is.

Thanks for the review Adam, now i know what all of this is about! I thought that the difference between the clamps from T-Rex and other brands would not be as great as it actually is and i am very impressed by that. I might actually get a few of those sets, since i am bad with PE clamps. Maybe i am not the guy who cares the most about those clamps on my models, but without a doubt these new 3D printed clamps improve a model a lot.

Well Adam, seems like I'm going to have to clean my resin vat a lot this weekend. I'm easy to be triggered into wanting to print something that doesn't print well xD Very informative as always.
Those clamps look amazing, and the Rochm ones look equally impressive. Definitely feeding my 3D printer buying itch...

Awesome review Adam.thanks. I have the same Trex items you reviewed as well as MJ miniatures sets and afew of ROCHM clamp sets. They all are just super."photo etch" will be a thing of the pass in 5yrs.or less. MJ miniatures items are larger than Trex and Rochm items.i.e. out of scale just slightly.compaired to the other companies meantioned.But are decades ahead of p.e. stuff. Rochm offerings are finer than Trex items.i have sets # 35012 type A and 35018 type B .each type is divided into 4 sizes which is great but hard to get.Above all these 3D items are in scale or much closer than p.e. sets.i always thought Abers 1/48scale tool clamps are closer to 1/35 than the 1/35 sets.but im picky lol.thanks
Hi Adam, have been waiting for this and agree what you said regarding Mig Ammo aka FC Model Trend as the ones they sent which were supposed to fit a Stug were too small to be useable and very fragile so had to resort to Aber workable. In the light of your very full review will be ordering various bits and thanks a bunch for taking the time to provide such a comprehensive and useful review
I’m not a fan of FC. their grills are terrible!
I have recently used aber on a stug B and a Pz.III,i found thier clamp's the easiest to assembe so far.I bought some 3D printed ones from Rochm model's,they look small too.Im wondering if the OVM tools are as accurately sized as we expect?
@@darronhedges5873 I agree and they seem more durable as well. Just arrived are Clamps and Brackets for my Dragon Jagdtiger from both TRex and Aber and there is a marked difference in size. Does anyone have a view as to which is scale correct?

@@derekshores5839 I’m on my second full detail set by Rochm models for Panther,if you like PE for German armour you should have a look.Best new PE company,the detail and accuracy in scale is pukka. They also do 3D printed parts for obscure parts like welded return roller supports for MkIII,IV(something I’ve never seen before).Prices same as competition,slightly cheaper maybe considering how much brass you get.Holes in most joints,so you can use stretched sprue to join pieces so no snapping off.The site has good photos and worth spending a coffee on.@Rochm models.

Just got a set of Type A (s-xl) clamps by Rochm model's in 3D print,they are noticeably smaller than the competition.Smaller than thier own PE version too.
They sent me some samples but I've yet to receive them. In the mean time I have signed on as T-Rex's technical advisor.
@@AdamMann3DIve used the Rochm full detail sets for Panther G/RFM,Panther A/6358,the scale seems smaller overall compared to some PE.The 3d clamp's are small looking too,their PE clamp's look the part its getting that curve on top latch of the type A clamp's.Can't wait to hear what you think.Thanks for showing me how to find which boxes held the dragon card.
Adam, do you have any thoughts on the recent Border Models kits? I have been building one of their Panzer IV kits and I've been really impressed with both the level of detail and the engineering of the kit.
I asked them for a review sample of the Tiger. Was hoping to review it. They never got back to me, so until I can justify buying one I honestly can't give an opinion. I've heard some good thing and a bit of bad.
It's panzer 1 ausf A/B Takom and Trex have on Takoms FB page! I'm wanting a set of panzer 3 winterketten for my stug in 3D printed type! I've managed to get master club's but want to try these 3d tracks! That must be cool getting a partnership thing with a major kit banded company eh don't know why you or Ki ain't yet! I've no room for a printer I've been looking into it but I'm still in temp housing while new house being built so maybe once move again I'll look into it more but if I could get actual track's for my builds ready to put together from the pack would be awesome, and would probably only be the track's I used from then! I'm not a fan of white metal tracks they are what they are for detail I've seen betternin plastic so 3D prints I'm dieing to use eh! One set I do need alot it hetzer tracks! I've got Bronco's 38T to build as wasn't the old crapish one from italiri, academy tamiya cmk.its there own and a couple panzer 2s one tamiya a d a nice full interior beob from Dragon loads skd 251s my place is full.of German armour lol I'm building that AFV club bussing nag recovery with the bilstein crane it's a crazy amount of sub sections! I'd send you a strip of MJs tool clamps if you haven't seen them yet, there not cheap at 20 bucks a box I got the tiger one's too with the cleaning rod and tow cables clamps!

I went to link their site when I made the video and it seems to be down. I use scalehobbyist for most of my ordering, which don't seem to carry these. I will ask T-Rex and update the description.
No I don't think your being weird about that tool clamp Mjs are alot nicer though! But that angle I've seen alot too! Probably when clogged with crap they were a nightmare to lock right down and stiff as hell no doubt eh! AMMOS 3D clamps are nice too fornthe empty fire extinguisher holder's!
MJ and T-Rex have partnered up. I haven't seen the MJ clamps yet, but I got a set of Rochm clamps this week.
@@AdamMann3D yeah just seen that on mjs site trex have them teamed up with takom aswell on takoms fb page I seen the working clamps on mjs fb but there only 1.16 there not 1.35 as yet anyway there a wee bit to fragile in 1.35, mjs are very nice but are easy to snap in bit's! I've went and bought all the sherman accessories ones and antennas etc to see how they are there very nice too very very thin light guards, almost scared to cut them off haha!

Awesome printed stuff. But absolutely useless to me because shipping to me is $39 dollars and the kit is $12.50 so I'll never get them sad.
Agreed. I will eventually release my own through tankraft. And that's US shipping.
