Dude it’s not the future it’s now
"This episode of Cyberwar originally aired in 2016."
Very troubling that it is now 2024 and 8 years have passed since this first aired and things are moving fast.
Yea I know a guy from Ukraine..they already use robot dogs in the war
Drone warfare is just scary 😢
"Hey look, that must be Amazon with my package!"
"..."
"..."
"Wait a minute..."
"This must be Brazil!!!"
So vice is just reuploading sensationalist crap from 8 years ago? Have they really run out of any new material?
I mean which news source isnt sensationalist? Can you see how this reupload might be applicable to stuff going on right now?
use the YT dude, see why they are reuping it ;)
Pretty sure they went belly up a while ago 😂😂😂
Turns out it was not sensationalist at all, but understated. Drones are taking over.
“Sensationalist crap”…. What part of this do you disagree with? Perhaps a more important question is what education or skill set do you specifically have or hold that qualifies you to be so dismissive of this technology?
Simple answer is yes.
I’ll add what was said in the early 1900s about the car replacing the horse:
“You don’t have to fetch it, you don’t have to feed it”
Remember this, mark my words.
With these gas prices, I think I would actually prefer the carrots! But yes I agree - there was a time when cars were thought impossible and computers not even imaginable. Everything comes to fruition
And no bloodshed, drons fighting each other
We’ve had drones for decades. Back in 1992, we used them in Desert Storm over Iraq. Today, they’re much more compact, cheaper and plentiful.
Drones has been around since World War I
The term drone is just an autonomous flying thing, this is a different era. We never had digital technology and AI that could run them
@@carpo719 never had digital? Perhaps not on the civilian world. The military used digital applications well before of what you see today.
@@jamram9924 You talking about the remote controlled landmines with threads?
@@carpo719 digital technology? Exactly what do you mean? Autonomous systems to say search for enemies and such is what you mean?
*Amazing video despite the economy disaster and political war in the country, investment remains best for earnings. Imagine you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires*
Hello , I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Maria Frances Hanlon, has been an amazing experience.
Hello how do you make such monthly?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down 🤦♀️of myself because of low finance but I still
believe in God
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Maria Frances 😊🎉
She's always active on Whats~App... 🎉
Guys we've gone through this already. It's Skynet 🤦
9years old. What a joke
I mean they went bankrupt. What did you expect? Fresh new content every day from a bankrupt company?
@@Th3Watch3r a video explaining how they became bankrupt lol it might ironically become relevant in a little bit here...
@@BD123-t8q that's a good point
Why is it a joke? Its more relevant than ever and needs deep thought and societal engagement.
@@BD123-t8q💀✅
If your drone swarm has been hacked, do you honestly believe the kill switch won't be compromised too?
As he said, it must be Ironclad to work. "Hacked" is not universal, it might have many layers that make it mostly impossible to hack.
As my dad use to say. Where there's a will there's a way. I think it was either Microsoft or IBM that made a system they called un hackable literally.... it was then hacked something like immediately after release lol
hence the counter measure anti drone swarm / weapon interface tech which runs on an entire different radio wave frequency to avoid being vulnerable to the same said “hack”. sadly we must adapt to this future we are approaching but thankfully you can fight fire with in this case fire and have them cancel out.
Can satellites link hackable? If yes then drones can , it's connected via satellite links not by internet
actually over RF they use military standard encryption and same can be done by satellites so its a secure datalink but of course encryption isn't 100% secure but it allows your frequency not to be hijacked in a way that someone else could take control of it. If anti jammimg is needed then the drone requires a anti jamming receiver than can still receive signal in high EW enviornment bae systems (NavStorm-M) has invented such receiver that is not only for drones but missiles, artillery shells, air to surface bombs too that use GPS for guidance the reason why american American Excalibur shell failed in Ukraine to the point where they stopped using it was because of jamming it while in flight since it wasn't built for that. Due to that it lost out on CEP and the margin of error was more than 4 m than said for it so it probably was off by target over 10 meters or so. Not good
It’s so awesome watching old news stories
My name is John Connor, don't do this!!!
🤣
More like Meow Connor
arms spaghetti
@@doz3r943 yes you definitely have spaghetti arms compared to me soy boy
"Do you think it's a possibility they'd be weaponized?" Bro, that's some deep and pro journalism right there.
Lmao this guy gonna be like Oppenheimer
13:43 "look at 9/11" very poor choice of reference, self-flying plane can also be hijacked and systems can be hacked or manipulated to create the same act.
No commercial plane in more susceptible of being hacked then physically hijacked.
Well, he talks aboit such system that prevents such situation: the automatic system should recognize that the plane is about to hit something and then change the course. It is still vulnerable for spoofing, but there is no perfect solution. So it is rather good example. Especially if you consider simple hijacking plane. Not perfect though.
@@malakoihebraico2150 I DONT THINK YOU CAN HACK A WHOLE PLANE IMMA GO LOOK IT UP
@@2muchtalentclips That was my point
2016?😂 Imagine how things have changed in 8 years.
Omg. They finally put a date showing this is a old video. 👍🏿
To the researchers in this video, I have witnessed and have some knowledge of some very advanced drones. They are capable of achieving what you are trying to do. In 2014 I saw a large group gliding just a few inches above the dirt surface without leaving a trail or making a sound. I have some close of photos.
Telling people not to use technology is like telling the first man on Earth not to use fire.
To be fair, the first man on Earth didn't use fire, or have language to even understand what you would have been telling him.
Imagine anything from embassies to power stations being patroled by drones
The robot wars have finally came! We phase out death and risk of human life and fight with only robots. Along the way we make some of the most terrific robotic advancements.
Little bit late. Drone warfare has been around for a while
U must be slow...this aired in 2016 and is reuploaded. It even said it in the beginning. Read.
@@detonater1348 Yes I know… drones have been around since the early 2000’s
TERMINATOR IS COMING ALIVE 🤦♀️🤷🤯
It his happening today in Ukraine. I foresaw this back in 1996, participating in digital imaging algorithms. I was scared back then and I am scared today - and I wish us, including Ukraine, all the best in this.
I noticed a lot of channels are reuploading stuff that's from the past but relevant now and a lot of these so-called news channels started about 10 to 13 years ago. They all seem to have started around the same time.
It's not the warrior, it's the logistics. The warrior might kill a few folks. The logistics kills millions.
number 2 at defence referencing ironman is crazy
If you think your enemies aren't working on this technology, you are the proverbial ostrich with his head in the sand. You'd better hope your side is on the leading edge of it because it's here, no matter how much you wish it wasn't.
And the winner is?.... The one who owns the most powerful quantum computer, running on the most powerful AI + the most powerful nuclear fusion generator, to feed all of this indefinitely
Fractal mathematical expressions to coordinate masses of individual identical elements to perform in synchronization.
The buzz and pitch of a FPV drones is nightmare fuel...terrifying really.
Instead of going to a minefield now the minefield come to you.
I have achieved swarm drone formations using UWB modules, along with AI/Yolo locking tech. It's mind blowing.
B2 and F35 will become Drones. Robots can't believe humans have the power to choose over life and death. 😅
Amazing drone
A whole 22min doc about brutal use of autonomous warfare & drones and not one mention of Israel and Palestine.. in 2024. Imagine that
Because this is a repost from 2016 as it stated in the first frame of the video. Take your virtue signaling elsewhere;)
Because people want to have a life that's not politically influenced
For 2.5 years you have a intense drone war going on between Russia and Ukraine. Today several drones targeted strategic bomber Olenya airfield on Kola peninsula. That's artic circle!
how could this be possible? doing research for NATO and claiming there isn't military interest. and the host accepts this answer without challenge. disingenuous.
Imagine being chased by swarm of drones and 🔫 attached with it... It would be scary
They are already fighting the wars of today.
"Birds follow a set of rules" is Gendo Ikari thinking.
Scary.
21:52 Don't say that he's hypocritical,
Say rather that he's apolitical.
"Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down?
That's not my department, " says Wernher von Braun. -Tom Lehrer
Remember when drones were going to bring us gifts and packages? Didn’t know it was going to wrapped explosive.
Would you like constant zooming of drones above your heads, and accidents where drones crash on buildings, people etc.
And those drones would need safe AI to navigate and charging/storage infrastructure
everything about humans is war and to kill others...when will you mofos learn to nurture life
high explosives fight wars everything else is just delivery of high explosives 💣 💣
That future is already here. Wait till they become autonomous.
Black ops 2 predicted
Sea forces now employ clusters of low profile surface combatants. They are not preloaded suicide expendables, but they don't have to be. They can be recon or mine laying or even sonar buoy laying or they could theoretically be a floating platform for multiple quad copter Mavic deployments.
Just like the US air force is looking at making the B21 next generation strategic bomber fleet to also be the motherships to deploying UAV escort stealth aircraft.
“Delegate the decision of life and death to a robot”…? Does this lady not know that it’s still someone pulling the trigger or ordering the strike or approving the mission??????? The exact same thing can be said about a gun, a pitchfork, an arrow, a rock, your frigging fist.
I found the same to be true for explosive frogs
What they meant is AI can be trained to recognize threat signatures better than humans. If you're going after threat signatures anyways, increasing accuracy (casualty reduction) would be a benefit
The simple answer is who ever is the cheapest will fight, as long as the supply is keeping up.
Drone's take away any responsibility / liability it's more of a war of man against machine, battle of the botts.
No they don’t. Similarly, a dog can’t be accountable for biting someone but it’s owner can.
I don't understand the convenient moral and ethical stances of my fellow scientists here. Everyone says "Yeah the cool technologies we're totally hyped about could be used for weapons technology, but that's not what *we're* doing over here". My guy, you're working on government NSF contracts and/or for NATO. Just stand your ground and honestly state the full capabilities of your work. Leave it to us to opine on its ethic.
Just remember what happened to Einstein, Ofcourse humans will weaponise the invention
The United States should be ashamed of themselves.
Our mission is clear. To build and maintain those robots.
how could someone who seems so smart be so naive that lady needs a reality check
The way he says murder at minute 12:00 and smiles… and that convo that comes after… cringe.
It operates like an octopus
dude we are literally in the Ace Combat universe now
I hope so these contracts aren’t paying enough
Ron we’re all counting on you bud 👀
Harry Kane is surprised by autonomous flying drones.
I fear if we set boundaries to when not to kill, your enemies are going to exploit those boundaries to overcome your robots..
...and then a race to the bottom
DUH! What do you think- it's happening right NOW!!!
Drones can be disabled by EMP a massive electromagnetic pulse that can fly miniature circuitry.
They already are. They should make it illegal.
Save the students of Bangladesh from police brutality. There are anti government protests going on right now and the country is under dictatorship rule. Please spread the awareness. Much love
"Robot" comes from the word "robota," which in Czech and several other East European languages means "job," "task," "labor," or sometimes "enforced labor." The word root itself serves to remind us that if a person or people construct and appoint a robotic device to do a task or tasks, the labor or job is impartially executed without emotional evaluation or morals. This is very important to remember.
I'm prepping with Stick N Stones.
😂 carbon fiber sticks and titanium stones!

Time to update this topic. It’s crazy how far we’ve come!
Which stocks should I purchase?

People don't cry over robots
If we're being told about it it's 1000x more advanced and definitely too late to stop
Yes
This has been discussed ad nauseam. Behold your new masters; Skynet, Colossus & Guardian!
We all know you can't put the genie back in the bottle. Weird future coming
While us going ...
11:00 no one is saying that drone warfare is more humane. It definitely is more effective than regular humans
Vice is releasing old videos because the new ones just are as good.
Pandora’s Box…🎁
How quaint. 'The power to kill must never be given to a machine'. Someone must have forgot to tell the Israelis.
let's get human beings out of war.
Let's get a 2024 update here. Please and thanks.
I hope we get bored of war
There are benefits to switching to precise predictable systems. The risk is not the control system. The risk is lowering the cost of taking violent action. This will make violent attacks more common because we won't have to risk our lives
The George Tech professor is completely rught. It's relatively trivial to create planes and cars that cannot from hitting buildings. We don't have to turn 100% control we just need to build in more guardrails.
it will save precious lives of personnel
John Potter te ocupamos en Sinaloa viejon
If the plane in the thumbnail isn't upside down then the answer is yes
You can program 'Ethics' into a machine, sure. The problem is that there isn't an objective moral code for all humanity. Ethics, like beauty, are in the eye of the beholder. What I might deem Ethical you might deem Unethical, and vice versa. See the issue?
Where’s Sarah Conner at!
Works for nato which is a military organisation funded out of defence budgets but doesn’t know if his technology will be used for military 😂
Probably just trying to cope so he can sleep at night
Bro 😂 we are actually in the 2024 movies we’re talking about, just a little slower
Yes. They've already begun, especially if we're (commoners) are being asked such a question concerning warfare
This is happening there is no stopping it
These types of videos are such a waste. "Should we be doing X". We don't have a choice. If we don't, they will.
Twenty two minutes to answer yes. It is not complicated if we can get machines to fight our wars for us we will. Ukraine already did it.
I feel bad for the guys that have to fix these during World War III is gonna be bullets and bombs and jets and everything flying boy and yet you have to fix your robot or your drone
Have I been saying the word Human wrong this whole time... everyone saying Uman not Human except for the vice people.. ?? 🤔🤔
No military is going to want an ethical robot soldier.
"Humans will always go to war." Yeah, we're stuck with that one for a while.
arms spaghetti
war is the only event we humans are good at.
The joke of it. Nato as major aggressor develops robots for "peacuful" exploration and protection.
