Hi all 💛! Hope you found value in this video, thank you so much for watching! As someone who held herself back way too many times to count as a physics major, I hope you can learn from my mistakes and implement the points I mention in the video early on to have the most fulfilling high school, college, and career experiences you can have! Don't forget to let me know if you have any video requests down below 😊(timestamps in description!)
I’ve been watching your videos lately because I’m currently a senior in high school and I’m absolutely determined to get a degree in physics and to hopefully work for some sort of space program (NASA being the ultimate goal of course). I’m thinking about attending UTA and getting a degree in physics with an engineering emphasis. Your advice has helped me a ton and I’m extremely happy that you exist. Thank you for these videos!
Your comment makes me so happy - I wish you the best of luck with getting your degree and inevitably doing amazing work at Nasa!! 😊😊 I'm so glad my videos can help and that I can be a part of your journey - don't hesitate to let me know if you have any video requests or questions about physics!
Last summer my school had paid research opportunities available. I didn't apply because I wanted my summer off. I know research would only help me in the future, but I felt so burnt out by the end of the semester.
Ah, feeling burnt out is definitely a thing in STEM fields. I felt so burnt out towards my senior year that it led to to get a job instead of going to grad school - and it was actually the best decision I made for myself! Don't feel stuck to a specific path or always feeling like you need to do research, there's a lot you can do out there. :)
That's awesome! Super important to know all of your options before you get to college (I certainly didn't at the time) so glad I could help :) Good luck with college!!
I'm an incoming Physics student at UChicago, and your videos have honestly been helping me so much. So thank you! I'm wondering how common is it for an undergraduate Physics student to get a Master's Program in Engineering?
Of course, that's an awesome start! I think you're going to do A LOT of stuff in college when it comes to internships and working with a professor - you'll be so fine when it comes to grad school. You have lots of time - already working on research is a massive plus and continuing in college is going to show strong work ethic and a great research trend!

Amazing video! I'm a senior this year and trying to see whether or not I want to be a STEM major...Thank you so much for your insight!
Thank you so much! So glad my video could help 😁 Good luck with finishing up high school and starting college!
You mention NDT, you should check out his Masterclass
I’m publishing an abstract this summer where I’ll be the second author! How good does that look for grad school even though it’s just an abstract?

Good Video !!
Thank you!!! 😊
