I just want to say that I appreciate the contributions from every collaborative member on this team! I feel like I’m looking through a window into the genius of a language that will be studied for many years. I never thought that I would be able to see this even in my lifetime! Watching every video unfold I resonate with both the struggles and successes that each moment brings. It makes sense to me that through a deeper connection to these new sounds brings inspiration to new harmonic concepts for composition. I love both the deep dive as well as the shortcuts. It’s really the perfect balance! Please keep going with this! You are all amazing! Much appreciated! Best Wishes! David
I have loved Allan's music for decades and am jumping in, I am with Brett & Thomas on the reason, I love the soundscapes he came up with. His compositions are so freeing like a score, you can go anywhere without limitations. The only way to get there for me is to do the work and be creative with the intervals presented per idea.
Great Episode! Had the distinct pleasure of playing/recording bass with Thomas and Tom of ANIMAL SITUATION. Never a dull moment melodically OR rhythmically. Thanks to Maestros Brett and Thomas for keeping the Holdsworth torch lit.
I took lessons from derryl too many years ago to remember and drilled into DTTH for quite a few sessions at the start and defo shared a similar insight but Brett has taken it to another level and confirmed my thinking so really grateful for his work and is a legend in his own right as far as I'm concerned . The dumbledore of holdsworthanity
For some new "old" shit - check out the late Alan Murphy. Heavily influenced by Holdsworth, played in Go West, Level 42........very cool stuff. Anyway! Great video again, it's essential viewing.
I bought all the books and etudes...... F*** lol..... So happy I did. Mode 3 etude is sooooooo good. Thanks Dani for these interviews. Watching all of them and learning a lot.
great work! I totally agree with Brett, it seems AH changes scales rapidly; Messiaen did also change from one to the other and even mixed them right vs left hand or with several instruments, using pivot notes/chords. I am wondering what guitar synth gear Thomas is using here; the tone is very nice; any idea?

Interesting!
Is his brother Steve Stine by chance??
Yup
Scott Stine is my brother we have no relation to Steve. But, I know Steve and he is one of the best humans around.
Steve was separated from the brothers at birth. It’s a long story.
