Europe should make gas and EV's without incentives and mandates against gas cars. Let the winner win fairly. End mandates now. If China invades Taiwan like it says it's going to one day, then Their cars will be embargoed and then try to buy or get parts for a Chinese EV car. They have a lot of fires in China with their electric cars and motorbikes. EV's will never be fully accepted because of costs, insurance on EV cars, and home insurance, and people who live in apartments, or live out in the countryside, cold and hot climates, no one in a hundred miles to work on them or charging them because of few charging stations. It's just a pipe dream that we must all switch over to battery cars one day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I do not agree to the 8 reasons: Reason 1 to 6 are energy prices, reason 7 is EUs climate policy, reason 8 is the EUs prohibtion of combustion engines since EVs are too expensive for most citizens.

Far too late. Europe has not been innovative in core industries. Has not developed Internet platforms, leaning back on already obsolete technologies, comfortably asleep at the rudder, far too lazy and propagandized into oblivion, drunk and drugged, living in dirty cities with low hygiene and too much sickness, asocial egotism, crime, corruption and worse.
I have been to China 40 times since 1983 and seen, what has happened there. Fundamentally, under a Confucian worldview, that the West doesn't know or understand. The Western standard paradigm based on the Abrahamisik religions of good against evil is totally wrong. The collective West has not the slightest chance of cathing up, but will sink back to former poverty, misery and ignorance.

As is well known, new structures can only be implemented with new people! But since German politics is pretty much deadlocked, it will probably be too late for the necessary corrections.

"economic meltdown..." A bit wishful thinking from the author...
Can Germany leave the EU? Certainly. Worst for Germany.
By the way, we have a new trade here in Europe:
We sell gas.... First customer, Russia.

The United States invested 350billion to the green initiative and the European union invested billions also, stop presenting the ability of Chinese companies to outperform American and European companies simply because of subsidies, they all subsidize their major brands of all fields.

France's decision to rely heavily on nuclear energy is a good one and makes it largely independent of energy supplies from abroad. France's industrial production may rely heavily on nuclear power for EV electric vehicles and other industrial production, as well as for domestic electricity consumption. Germany's decision to phase out nuclear power generation does not look good.
