Love this! Definitely inspired by your routine. I have 3A curls and I definitely don't do all of these steps on wash days but I'm considering trying some new methods in order to increase the moisture in my curls.

I agree with what you said about people being butt hurt when people with wavy hair say they have curly hair. No one is going to say I have naturally wavy but also kind of curly 2a 2b 2c hair. It’s just curly hair, calm down. Anyways I think you’re really cool and sweet and I subscribed. (Ps. I have my first CG wash tomorrow and I’m worried)

We have super similar hair types, and a method that worked super well for me is the mousse-gel-mousse method. Its exactly what it sounds like.

Okay I'm way late to this video lol but my hair is super similar in texture to yours, and it has improved a lot by not *completely* following the curly girl method! I still mostly avoid sulfates in shampoos, and silicones in conditioning products, but I use a sulfate-containing shampoo (the super cheap Suave one) every third-ish wash to really clean my scalp. The products I style with vary depending on what my hair needs -- protein or moisture -- but I always use some sort of leave-in conditioner, define the curls with a denman brush, then scrunch with a mousse/gel. I've been more deliberate with styling my hair for about three years now, but I've still got a long way to go. I've found the youtube channel "Manes by Mell" to be super informative! Your hair looks great! :)

Wow! Love your energy! Mainly clicked on your video because of the Briogeo products. This is the first time hearing about curly girl method which now I a curious to learn more! I originally had naturally straight straight wouldn't hold a curl hair to having wavy (more so on humid days) hair 5 yrs ago after giving birth to my daughter. She changed my hair. Never really knew how to take care of my hair other than shampoo and conditioner. I want to learn more on that aspect. Battling an itchy dry scalp right now and researching products to use. Any info you could give me woulds be much appreciated! Going to look through more of your videos and hair care in general.

I love your hair!!! I just found your channel and I love to see your curly hair journey and I really enjoy to see people embracing their hair (because it was really hard for me as a girl with multi texture hair to accept )
So... I'm gonna bring this topic in this video again, so maybe you will read it. I don't know if maybe if you have heard about the deva curl problem? I think that maybe that could be affecting your hair, because what a lot of girls are saying is that the batch from ends of 2018 /2019 of deva curl probably wasn't stored correctly and somenthing went wrong, because of that a lot of people are having terrible consequences from that, the "lightest" and "not so terrible" problem has been the loosening of the curl pattern for chemical damage and incremented freez (sorry for any grammar mistake, English is not my first language)
Pd: I think your texture is 2c with some 2b, but it's been flattened to a 2b with some 2a (which it's not so radical, but I would suggest that you look it up, just to be safe1 that the products are not causing any damage for you)

I have the same issue you had before the curly girl method, curly hair in the bottom layer and almost straight hair on the top layer and I want it GONE, I think I can be a 2c so I'm going to start my routine soon
There's no wrong or right way to apply a deep conditioner or hair masque. Some people like to use it as a pre-poo treatment, some people like to use it in between shampoo and conditioner, some people like to use it after conditioner, and some like to use it as a replacement for regular conditioner. I like to use it after regular conditioner because I use my conditioner to de-tangle, whereas I use the deep conditioner for the moisture. By the way, the hair mask you use has two drying alcohols in it. Hope that helps!

I started using innersense products and they smell so good!!!! I have a similar texture to you and all I use is a mousse from innersense and a leave in from briogeo currently. Wanna get the innersense leave in conditioner and I wanna try a different deep conditioner with protein in it. Currently using the briogeo don't despair repair deep conditioner which has protein in it and my hair loves it when I use protein rich treatments on it but I've kinda fallen out of love with the briogeo products. They don't smell great and I feel especially the shampoo I use of theirs dries out my hair and makes it frizzy. Any tips for a nice protein rich deep conditioner that is cruelty free and vegan and a hair oil to seal my hair after washing and everything?
