Does the handle dig into the skin on your hand?

In really hard places, I'd say yes. But it's still useable. In most cases it is fine as it's soil we are digging into and not piles of rock or compacted dirt.

I stand corrected. Done more field testing and yes, it does dig into one's hand even in moderately dense soil. I'm switching my recommendation back to the Coghlans for now.

Perhaps this could be negated by wrapping it in Paracord/cloth?

@@markcouch4235 it could. But then it would increase the dry weight and also even more so the wet weight. It would also hold dirt more easily and be harder to clean. With all these additionals, a simple cheap Coghlans would be my go to solution.
That being said, I have an idea to spotweld a Ti wire to the edge and roll the metal over...just for kicks. If I eventually get that done, I'll share the outcome. That being said, most people don't have the time to do all that so it would not be a practical solution 😂

I have it and am also displeased with this 😞 i dont think wrapping in paracord would help, since in most cases we need to push down on it

Bonjour is it a good item ?

I've done a bit more field testing and I'm coming to conclude that unless one is digging in duff and very soft soil, all these thin, bent sheet metal trowels are impractical as the user can't impart much force without feeling the thin edges cut into one's hand. If they rolled the edges it would be a game changer.
I'll try and make a vid on this explaining my experience thus far.
For now, I would still recommend the Coghlans.
