- I want to show 3 different ways to connect a mixer to your mpc
I will show you how to connect in controller mode,usb connect to mixer and the standard connections to a mixer . here are some links if you want to find your perfect mpc I do receive a small commission if you purchase something but it is free to look.

My Mackie ProFX16v3 16-channel USB mixer works great with the MPC X and One. I am getting great clear sound. I love the new update. I am so excited by all of the possibilities that I have now. Thank you for the video Poli Popo.
I've never worked with a mixer and have no idea how to hook everything up to my MPC Renaissance. Can you help me which cable goes where.I want to buy the same mixer

Thanks for all the routing possibilities. I have been very frustrated with the Mpc keys and tascam model 12 using the direct USB setup. I believe the USB method introduces intermittent Audio pops and crackling on the latest MPC 2.11.6 firmware. I have swapped out the USB cable and it still has been a nightmare especially when playing live and loses the external audio driver and defaults to the internal drivers. I will be using method 2 for a more reliable setup..

Thank you for sharing this editorial. I know every mixing board setup may be set up differently. I have the Presonus Studiolive 32s iii series mixing board and I'm trying to figure out how to connect the MPC X Standalone to my mixing board. My mixing board is also a midi interface that controls my Pro Logic DAW. So if anyone has that kind of hookup please reply back, I would greatly appreciate the help and the feedback I get from the Poli Popo community, and as always happy recording everyone. I wish you great success in your music ventures. It would also be nice to see a video tutorial on this subject. I just know it would get a lot of views because there are so many home studio producers going through the same kind of challenges and issues I am having lol. So again thanks for sharing this information and instructions.
I love the analog sound hook up but now the update came out that usb connection is crazy easier ..anyway wadup poli popo

The Tascam 24 is the best USB interface mixer out now and its crazy clean and clear
That Tasman looks 💯 mine pops a bit and the faders have to be way above 0
ive had the tascam 24 for 7 months now. im just now becoming aware of this marvelous creation with the mpc. this is new level technology. and you are right, the fador can be mixed -20db and still can be heard clear. Lots of head room with these.

Dope video appericate you taking time to helpthose who need it. I got one question say i have a beat i made at 155 bpm and i found a sample that i need to speed up to fit in the beat how do i change the tempo of the sample inside mpc beats the program?

I was about to get a XR18 or MR18 mixer for my Mpcx . It will be the sound card for X in stand-alone too. Buttt! I learned about adda acd converters like Apogee or Audient ID14 and Motu Mk5, these have high quality preamps and acd converters. I record and I know the converters will give me that pro sound. I mix my stuff and I want to be able to play them life. Gotta sound cd quality. Basically I have a mixer by mackie to connect to Motu MK5.

@@PoliPopo class compliant mixers audio interface from what I read will work. Btw so I have the Steinbrerg ur22mk and omg it’s sooo noisy . Akai Mpcx as a soundcard is soo quiet and punchy. It is my audio interface

The x does a great job but it’s always nice to have something just dedicated to sending audio I’ve been looking at a few that have processor is built into them or uad but still researching
@@PoliPopo I didn’t know that audio interfaces with very good high quality converters are expensive. When ppl say that sound card is 2 grand it’s because it’s for the converters . Something in I neglected. I own a Virus TI2 and own a 100 sound card . Now that’s funny
@@PoliPopo I was checking out on uad, thank God for TH-cam I was I informed about the Antelope Zen Go, Audient, Motu Pre Es. But I have my eye out now for the Motu ultra lite Mk5. Perfect for my humble studio. I only have 5 synths plus the X sampler. I really enjoy producing then audio engineering. I'm so into it. I mix in the box with waves plugs. All my synths are hardware recorded to X. Soo fun recording. I do feel alone in this . It's why I hang out on TH-cam ,. Right now I'm takings 30 min break from mixing. My ears oh my ears.

Looks like you are using a Canon Camera, did you know they have a new EOS Webcam utility that allows you to use it as a webcam and record into OBS or Zoom or youtube livestream with it

How is it with the delays when using an external USB mixer in standalone? All channels the same? Also when you use plugins on some and others not?
How am I suppose to connect my monitors to my MPC X/LIVE or to my mixer?
If. Standalone I will take everything from the mixer into the Mpc

@@albertoparedes7071 Yes sir keep your MPC Plugin USB do you computer but also have your mixer plugged into the computer from the software
And on the top left under edit preferences you can select your mixer as your audio interface this way you’ll still be able to control the MPC Software with your MPC and have your mixer running other channels
Figured it out,but one more question am I supposed to route it as mono or stereo cuz on my master level in the daw only one side shows going up.
If I'm in controller mode using MPC live as a plugin in Abelton 11, can I put my drums on individual tracks inside the Abelton software. Plus I have the Zoom L12 as my mixer for mics and acoustic instruments.
I have the first part working but my individual tracks from the L12 seems to get sounds from the mpc tracks. I basically wanted to put MPC tracks individually in Abelton and put Zoom L12 tracks individually in Abelton as well... can you please explain how to do this or if it's possible???

I had to find my own answers because I'm on a time basis. I basically had to change my zoom l12 hardware configuration in my preferences. I took it of the master and that seemed to fix the issue.
is it possible to route the outs from the live 2 into individual channels in my hardware mixer? i have an analog soundcraft mixing desk, and run the mixer into my SSL audio interface. would i need individual 1/4 inch outs from the mpc to run into each mixer channel? is there a way to do this?
Just like you said get 1/4 inch wires and go from the mPC outs into the mixer. After you're connected to the mixer
Hit menu on your MP c go into channel mixer. On the bottom of the screen, you should see route, and you can assign the out of each sound into your mixer, go out of your mixer into your ssl's interface. I hope this helps 🫡💯🎶
@@PoliPopo thanks man. so yeah i've had my outs from my mpc going into one of the stereo channels in my mixer like it's an instrument. i have my mixers outs going to not only my SSL but also xlr also going from mixer to monitors as well as 1/4" going from monitors to mixer, then to ssl. if that makes sense. it's so i get playback and can record across all my stuff. otherwise i wouldn't be able to do all simultaneously. should i rearrage anything related to the mpc or can i just leave the mpc stereo outs going to a stereo channel in my mixer, then do everything you said and get it to work proper? thanks dude.
MPC X has a problem where it in play or not, every half hour it sounds like being turned on and off (u know the sound its sort of a double click??) In play it even freezes in a hickup for 1 second and then makes the on/off sound. I have this problem since a while now and cannot find the answer. New update did not help. Factory default settings do not help. Anyone?
I've tried almost everything and only getting sound out from 1/2. If I select the USB Button on my Mackie Onxy Mixer I get sound from everything, but unable to route it in individual channels to my mixer.
Hit menu and go to your mixer on the bottom of the screen. It'll say route and you can select your outputs. I hope this helps or points in the right direction
My allen and heath mixer only lets me have two channels of u s b But the soundcraft has 22 channels of U. SB, make sure the mixer has USB on. Each channel

i’ve been looking everywhere all i need to know is can i route any single drums out of the mpc into a mixer for return/sends to process a single snare or any single drum away from the rest of them?
Yes 💯 explode the track and rout each drum to to mixer hope this helps

where would i plug in a 2 channle dbx compressor to use as a kickbus?
I’m not too familiar with the DBx but I would go out of-groups one and 2 into the dbx out into another empty channel
Make that channel group 3&4
Go out 3&4 into the Mpc
