Yes, it really works. I use the same method. It is 100% foolproof. But increasing indigo powder in ratio gives darker colour, and if you increase henna, the colour will be maroon or reddish.
Im happy it worked for you. It does not work for everyone, many others who would say the same. I tried this twice, following instructions. Both times it looked so bad with a terrible maroon golden shade. Wished it work, but alas. Just a feedback since many refer to chats, no offense.

Correct 👍things arent as simple as he is trying to suggest without trial. Lack of chemicals does not mean the process is foolproof or without problems. Henna and indigo is not only cumbersome, it doesnt stay for long and gets washed off easily. Giving full coverage to all white hair is also tough. He is talking without experience or self trial. Hardly the proper way

My mom has been using chemical colors for over 5-6 years now. In her past 3 4 application, she experienced some allergies like itching and burning scalp , burning swelling eyes and in her last application , first she had severe animal like itching in her whole body and with in 15 minutes she was fainted and we've to hospitalized her. Thank God she is well and back home now. With discussions with several doctors we came to know that since the use of chemical colors has emerged in our society, women especially are undergoing some health issues that even they are not aware it is caused by chemical colorants. These chemical colorants are life threatening. I'm rarely post comments but this issue was personal to me and there is so very less awareness on the subject matter that I thought to post a comment. In case you read this comment ,I'd like to request you make a video on the health issues caused by using chemical colorants and I'd like to request you to make that entire video in hindi so that the information can benefit maximum number of people. While searching for doctors recommended 100% natural colorants I came across Indus Valley Hypo allergic aqua color, which is openly being recommended by doctors over youtube, it would be really nice if you can do a review of it . hmm.. they are less effective.. so always shampoo your hairs jst b4 applying these and also keep a cover on your head so that it dnt gets dry so early before it starts its works... obviously they not chemicals so less effective and slow in action thats why these are not harmful to skin...
Apply henna on day 1 and apply indigo powder on the next day or after washing and drying hair after applying henna. Then it works perfectly.

Indigo has the 2 issues - it causes a bad headache for most people. Second the black colour will fade away soon, leaving your hair brown because of the use of henna (mehndi)

Thank you, Vivek and your video just came in the nick of time. I was facing very worrying problems after applying chemical based hair dyes and my scalp got swollen and fluid was coming out. I was in pain as well due to the chemical named PPD (phenyladeamine) or touleneadiamine which are both very dangerous chemicals I found out. I encourage more people to go natural because using chemical dyes will only destroy your scalp and you will lose hair too in the process. And never believe in these ads as they are all fake and misleading. Thank you, Vivek for the very informative video 👍
Did you try this remedy and did it work
Applying henna and indigo together may not gove you the good result or you will get the delayed result.. just try this 2 steps procedure using same ingredients. You will be amazed by the result and it will last upto 9-10 washes.
Apply henna ( prepare and keep aside overnight, dont add curd etc) wash off with plain water after 2-3 hours. Once the hair is dried, apply indigo powder ( add water) wash off after 1-2 hours. Tada , just in 1st attempt you will see amazing result.

1. for best auburn brown to natural black , apply himalaya henna first and wash 1-2 hr
2. apply indigo on dry hair. 1=2hr wash
depending on hair and if it was oily before or you used chemical dye will determine success.
Success comes for most after say 2-3 applications
on first, it may be somewhat light or didnt catch well. the issue is mostly in henna phase!
PS : good idea to cleanse scalp and hair with shikakai powder before doing colouring, it absorbs the oil and dirt from hair allowing henna and indigo to penetrate and stick.

Yes, I can vouch for the mehndi +indigo method. Have been doing this for more than a year now. For better result, after this step1 , apply only indigo as step2 after sometime. Dont shampoo off for 3 days. Use only water.
Dont soak indigo for more than 10 minutes and add a bit of salt to it while mixing with warm water.
Have patience. This application gives results after a couple of applications. But it's worth it.

Those who have blackened hair using mehndi and indigo should share their experience
You need to apply mehandi first and then wash the hair and let dry, next day after your hair changes colour to red apply indigo. Initially you don't see great changes but by regularly using it for minimum of 4 months you will see black coloured hair.. it works good. But this is not permanent, once you stop using all the black will change to white again slowly but not instantly... So, what I learnt is that white can not be changed to black permanently.

I have been using indigo and henna for last 12 years ..it works .. but we have to apply it every month ..process is a bit messy but it works and is chemical free..use two step process to get jet black color …one step will give you dark brown color .. harmless, chemical free, natural dye ..

Please explain your steps ?
One step process = soak henna overnight …next day add indigo powder to soaked henna and apply ..this single step process will give you dark brown hair.. Two step process = soak henna overnight and next day apply henna for at least 2 to 3 hours then rinse henna with normal water t( don’t use shampoo or conditioner , use plain water) ..towel dry your hair..now make indigo powder paste adding warm water + 1tsp salt and immediately apply this indigo paste, without waiting for indigo to release blue dye , in your hair…indigo has grainy texture and it will leak from hair so cover your hair with shower cap ..wait for 30 to 45 mins and then wash your hair with normal water ..don’t shampoo for three days ..after three days your hair will become dark black .. don’t forget to wear gloves while applying indigo or else it will stain your hands …
But I have tried one step process 3 times but I have not got black hair?

Care should be taken that mehndi is not mixed in a metal bowl/or any metal spoon is used. .doing so reduces the effectiveness of indigo

I have tried this method but word of caution it doesn't yeild result instantly at all! It depends on your hair type resistant or porous.
It covers the white hair makes it copperish color. Dont expect it to turn black.

1 First you have to apply mehandi powder and leave it one hour and wash with plain water
2 inthe second day you have to apply indigo powder with beatroot juice and leave it two hours and wash with plain water

Hey vivek, I am even skeptical about the wordings on biotique & kama products. They use vague terms such as "key ingredients" , "contains".. Why not just say "INGREDIENTS" & be done with it, if there's nothing to hide.
