Good job Sam.
In 1969 my father had a 500-gallon oil tank buried for the furnace oil. We were going to have it filled the next day. It rained hard the night after it was buried. Run off from the hillside ran right over where the tank was. The next morning the tank was completely out of the hole. Guess what 16-year-old had to pump the hole out and remove the mud.
That's what they used to call "character building"! My character building involved putting insulation under an existing floor on a slab. No one else was skinny enough to fit!!! 🙄
Your dump truck reminds me of my old one. Cummins L-10 that killed every mosquito for 20 miles.
“I just passed a Jimmy and a White, I’ve been passing everything in sight…” Gotta love those Whites.
Man, learn something new every day. Pretty cool, I never knew you could bury a propane tank and use an anode like that. That White dump is rolling coal like an angry dragon!
i am with you I have never seen or heard of burying a propane tank in the ground Would it be cheaper to just leave it above ground ?????
Interesting to see a gas tank being buried! We have them on the roof! Thanks for sharing
Made for great viewing bro and the old garden rake still has a place even to this day. Safe travels Ken.
Enjoy the video on the 500 gallon tank propane .ho that old truck is good for keeping the flyes away .
Just love the way you approach things and get them done the right way.
Awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
All that diggin and you never hit any rock or ledge!!! Count your blessings Sam!!!!!
Love the old road commode
Great video Sam and great job!
That yanma sound like grease guns not being used for a long time 😅
Right before this job. Having trouble with main pin squeaking like that
Are right you don't want bad pins problems 😮
@@ScrappyIndustries make a video of that problem and fix
Try one of those vibrating Wacker Packer excavator attachments if you have not done so before. They work really well filling a hole in packing it down as you go.
very educational
Man that truck smokes!
I like having the 500 Gallon bomb buried. Mine has been perched precariously on my hillside for almost 24 years. 😁
Well in FL,they have to be above ground, water table is too high! ❤ this video, The old white is puffin and huffing, but still gettin her done. Love your video’s, found you through Matt. BTW,loved the one on Grandpa’s truck,as well as the shifting tutorial.
When the video first started I thought I was watching John with farmcraft101
Good job boss 👍🏻
In my neck of the woods we call crushed limestone lime and it’s spread on farm fields.
Sam you got a new attachment for the excavator can you show us a bit more about it looks a cool tool too.
Awesome video... Love the exhaust.... It's what made America great back in the beginning!
Couldn't do that here in Eastern NC. Water table is high. We've had floods here from hurricanes that have caused coffins to pop up and float away. Those were coffins that were buried years ago before vaults were used. Good one Sam. Would a finish bucket work better for cleaning up the corners and bottom?
👍🏻🍻
I had a 500 gallon tank , in the winter sure don't last very long.
We shall see I guess
Them White trucks branded Road Boss in Aussie Road Comando is cab over
It's nice your propane company will come out and do that. I can't even get mine to come an relevel the tank. Heck, sometimes they don't even answer the phone. Worse than Agway was.
#1. Keep smiling!!!???😅
Awesome box on the white dump truck, Sam. This was filmed about 6 months ago. Do you still have this dump truck? Did you fix the smoking issue or are there other issues not worth fixing the smoke haze problem? 👍👍👍🤩🏆🏆
I like diesel creeks case excavator better regards Andy from Australia
How many times do you have to excavate cases though?
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
So, one would have to dig up something every few years to replace that anode? Wonder if a perforated PVC sleeve make life easier.
Always great watching, I assume the first operator is just learning….I hope, either way great to see them having a go. Well done
It looks like that ole White could use a tune-up or maybe a tune-out..... I know, that ain't nice to run down a fellers equipment. Maybe the White is used as a bug fogger in off hours.
I wasn't aware it is allowable to bury a propane tank... PA must be diff than IL. Well, everybody is diff than IL and you are welcome to dis IL all you want. I'm just stuck here.
So, when are we going to get a video of you fixing the White Sam? 😁
I like that old truck but the cab is very far gone unfortunately
Thanks for dirt are air with those bad trucks!
I would have put something over the pipe to protect it
For those asking the only reason I can find for putting the tank underground is so it’s not on top of the ground and some places you can’t do it because the water table is to high and it will pop out of the ground which is very bad as you can imagine.
Ok dump truck stayed with dirt, lol
great job, removing that ugly tank from the ground looks nice
Yeah, I would say you might have over dug just a Lille bit. Hardly noticeable.
The ole road commode is belching smoke big time lol
00 fuel button lol
Looks rather sandy loam to me and any with will drop off the sides.
This is the first I’ve seen a buried propane tank, are the same as an above ground tank?
Where's the big rocks , you cannot dig a hole that size around here without finding a vw size rock , south central PA.
Got lucky this time!
🇦🇺👍
Did you go to Penn State? I see your pullers t shirt, i'm on the team now.
That’s awesome! Yes I was on the team all four years and co captain my senior year in 2015
You must be working on Mars! If I go to stick a plant in the ground guaranteed to be a 20 ton boulder right there!! Forget using a trencher here. Man you didn't hit a rock the size of pea gravel in that whole dig. Either you ought to go to Vegas with your luck or your ground is on Mars. I am betting on Mars. I coulda dug that hole with a wooden spoon! Digging might actually be fun? Who knew.
Have seen Jesse Muller [ form his channel ] bury Propaine tanks before, but never knew you could, before watching his channel, cause here in Upper Northeast Illinois, all the tanks you see by rural homes here are all above ground. Wondering if it mainly is due to cost?? since buried tanks would cost more to do??
They probably rent the tank from the propane company. Most folks only bury them if they own the tank.
Just wondering why you took the dirt away from the hole only to have to bring more back. Was the dirt you took out the wrong colour?
Lots of situations require use of finer sand. Electrical cables and plumbing pipes for example. You want to keep sharp, hard rocks away from critical stuff.
Makes sense. Thanks for letting me know 👍
Nice job Sam. Always great to see your work projects.😊
I hope nobody will be trying to breathe while that White truck is running 😂
Can somebody tell me the pros and cons of burying or not burying a propane tank?
Just curious
What year is the White, Sam?
Why would you bury a LP tank in the first place I nearly always had LP in my houses even when I was a kid this is the first one ive ever seen set in the ground
So,ya haul, off the dirt, then what do ya fill hole with cement!???😂😂😂😂
🙃😉👻👌👍
This truck, smoking needs to lighten his foot on the pedal and het his fuel system checked nasty!!!!!!
.
Greta Thornberg would have a stroke if she had seen the opening shot of your dump truck!
Why in this world would you want to burry your propane tank 😮
I would have thought that code would require the gas feed line to be deeper and protected in conduit?
for me to do that in California i would need 10 pages of engineering drawings 15 different permits then i would need security for all the protesters and rioters and don't forget the fact the guy on thr back hoe would charge me 10,000 $$$ to dig the hole......................................................on and on and on!!!
Several good reasons tomove back east.
Thats why he dug the hole in the middle of the night.
Why bury a propane tank? here we have to check propane tanks every 5 years
