Timothy Snyder is one of the most important thinkers we have.
Well done and I agree with Professor Snyder's assessments on the linkage.
Thank you Professor Snyder
Well said professor, well said.
Well articulated Mr Snyder.
What a man, Professor Snyder big respect
This dialog restores so much trust to the system. Great points.
Timothy Synder is an expert in Ukrainian history, adjacent to Poland, and the Balkans. And, rarity for an historian to recognize the waves of which history breaks on the shores of today. Our current path is not playing out in rhythm, it is repeating.
Did you mean Balkans or Baltics?
@@exlibrisas Baltics; Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Finland.
@@strezztechnoid Yes, we are constantly getting confuzed with "Balkans". You also wrote "Balkans"
1) He is Snyder not a Synder.
2) He is a historian with a specialization in the history of Eastern Europe (not an expert in Ukrainian history).
@@JOnatanKERtis а що, хіба Україна знаходиться не в Східній Європі?. доречі, центр Європи знаходиться саме в Україні.
Well-articulated, Mr. Snyder. I agree with all of his assessments!
Your stand is always humane and praiseworthy. Proud of you from India.
Smart fellow 🇺🇦🇺🇸
Ro Khanna just voted against military aid to Ukraine.
Is there a video of this entire oversight committee hearing?
Where is the full hearing?
Look at C-Span, possibly archived.
Its good to know that the more freedom driven congressmen understand that Snyder is one of the most important historian's of our time.
Thimothy Snyder is brilliant.
Thank you for your good work.
Actually, it's Dr. Timothy Snyder (D. Phil -Oxford) but the truly great ones don't need titles.
PhDs are much more numerous than professors, and getting a professorship takes much longer and is much more difficult, to cut a long story short. Not to mention that you can hardly find a professor who is not a PhD, at least in the branches that award PhDs. Therefore, the title of professor should take precedence.
I notice nameplate of Senator says Mr. Maybe it’s a parliamentary rule.
Professor Snyder is absolutely fantastic!
This guy is my new favorite congressman!! Wish the democratic party was more like him and less like Biden.
Thank you for your support!
The professor is right about linkage, and he has always been so eloquent and convincing on the need to be unafraid of helping Ukraine to inflict a decisive military defeat on Russia...So, it's a bit of a mystery as to why he thinks Hamas ought to be exempt from this same treatment.
Mr. Snyder the blessed!❤❤❤🤲🤲🤲🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸💔💔💔
Professor Timothy D. Snyder is an expert on Ukraine, but he is not an expert on Israel-Hamas war
Spyder at his worst. No more genocide in Palestine.
He's a historian, and rightly deflected the question of politics.....but a very succinct and logical speaker.

Boring. Ro’s questions were ill-suited to the witness 😂
Who are the two interns, seemingly bored out of their mind?
What do you think their inner monologue was?
The two interns are are Jack and Jill .
The Interns' "inner monologue" . . . . .
Jack : "The one thing better than honor is inner."
Jill : "The singularity emits x-rays , but a quasar emits gamma rays ?"
These are not interns. Interns are 18. These people are 35
I hope to see a President Khanna some day.
Ro Khanna just voted against military aid to Ukraine. President Ro Khanna would mean no Ukraine as an independent country and no non-Muslims in the Middle East.
Please run for president!
Holy Shit I've been a loyal Ro Khanna voter, seeing him as the heir of Mike Honda and more up with the times. Now I learn he's a Putin shill!! No more, never again will I vote for om.
Did he not vote for Ukraine military aid? What are you talking about
There isn't a more sophisticated and well spoken grifter out there than Prof Snyder.
Grifter? Check all the numerous sources and references used in his erudite books on democracy, freedom and tyranny. Do your research before making baseless accusations.
🙄 we know who you voted for
@@NightOwlinNewOrleans I voted for Zelenskiy and so did my family. I think it's safe to say that Snyder's Ukrainian friends did not.
@@Matt-1147 From my experience, the Ukrainian far right Organized diaspora (e.g. Ukrainian World Congress, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Ukrainian Canadian Congress) (Zelenskiy lost the diaspora vote) really like Snyder and have for a long time.
@@alroe4067 good try.
Wow, it was hard to watch Snyder stumbling all over his blah blah blah.
Where was the stumbling? He gave a very rational and logical response.
I😊 am a fan of Snyder over decades I have paid to see him speak in person.. That said...I am not going to re-listen in order to provide "stumbling".😊 I recommend that you listen again.
Yeah, I get you. One really needs a brain to handle all these fancy words.
This is known as a thinking person's answer, you're probably just unused to hearing people whose words carry weight speak in important settings.

Give it to em.
And MTG told Snyder he was wrong....? Dumbass
Her ignorance is glaringly obvious.
Snyder is literally a leading scholar of Ukrainian far-right nationalism. People like that exist in every country and it's not surprising that when Ukraine is invaded groups like the Azov batallion act to defend their country and rise in prominence. Snyder points out that far-right parties in European liberal democracies have more political support and influence than far-right parties in Ukraine, which is under attack.
