- One day our bunny world turned upside down (Part 3 - Wednesday). We took Ellie to her primary doctor for more insights into what happened on Monday evening and to get a second opinion on the ER doctor’s treatments. I just had a gut feeling that an ear infection or E. cuniculi wasn’t the cause. Which turns out it wasn't. 😭

I've had bunnies for more than 20years...Please keep up hope and faith...she still can turn a corner with good treatment. I love you guys and Ellie❤
Fearing for the life of a pet is always hard. Pets are family members, too. They are like our babies.
I wish you and Ellie (and, ofc, Bobo) the best and a long life together.
Please don't cry too much.
I know this diagnostic is a shock that you need to process.
But please don't think like this is the end of all.
My cat once was diagnostic with cancer. We immediately did everything to fight it. And we never treaten her different from her "sisters".
Today, she is fully recovered. We made the operation and just hoped that it didn't had spreaded.
I know you can't just put a new heart in your rabbit. But you can treat it and live on with her.
Don't fall into depression, please. For you and for Ellie. Try to keep an optimistic mind. I am sure, this will affect how your and her health will be in the future. ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
So sad so sorry.. hv u tried MMS it gets rid of virus parasites etc .. its helped my rabbits .. a few activated drops in water .

This must have been just the worst time for you Nicole & J. I’m so sad for you but I must say thank you for sharing this. Bunny owners need to be aware of all the health issues that could possibly happen. Rabbits are so fragile and so secretive when they’re ill. Bless your hearts for caring enough to show us the hard things.

It is so tough watching this! I'm in tears! 😢To see sweet Ellie in that situation is so sad. This sweet bunny was always so sassy and the life of the party. How do you go from being so playful one minute to having a stroke just like that! Life just isnt fair.😢Thank you so much, despite your pain and loss of your sweet Princess, for sharing this with all of us. This will definitely help further educate everyone with a bunny about different health issues that affects them and the responsibilities involved. I'm just a little surprise that during her past vet visits, they didnt pick up on possible heart issues, like they did with Bobo.❤

I know the Bunny ❤. I had a Netherland Siamese Dwarf, Almond Joy. He broke both his front legs. I spent close to $3,000 to have them put mini metal rods in his legs. It was a miracle he survived the anesthesia and surgery was a success!!!!😊 we had him 1 more year. Good luck 👍 and God Bless

I'm deeply sorry for your loss, I can imagine the pain you've been through..I have a bunny myself and he's been to hospital several times with the risk of losing him...😢 I know it has been very tough but stay strong and pray for Ellie's after life in heaven 🙏🙏❤😢

I know this happened about six months ago and don't intend to drag back up painful memories of the past-- I just still wanted to express my most sincere condolences... I usually don’t share these things; my rabbit Chip passed of a seizure when he was 3. He literally just flopped dead. Horrible experience. I know you will get through this it will be tough but you gave Ellie the life many pets wish for.❤

Bunnys can get a lot of things, my last bunny had a huge cancer growth. Its always sad to have to say goodbye to our pet. They give love unconditionally, and we love them back, unconditionally.

I'm so, so sorry. 😭 She was a beautiful little bun bun and we (hubby and I) loved seeing her and BoBo together. I wish I could give you a hug. 😥
I'm so sorry for your loss Ellie was such a cutie. I know exactly how you feel. I got my first holland lop Bun in 2021 for my birthday. She was perfect and as some time went by when we moved into a new house. One morning (2/25/23) she didnt seem herself and I can tell something was off, she didnt want to move, eat, or do anything. We brought her in for an emergency visit. The Vet said hes "99% sure she'll be fine" and believed it was some weather we've been having that startled her so they watched her over night. Next morning we get a call that she had passed away. They charged us $900 and he did a post mortem and found the cause of death was from an enlarged heart. Hopscotch was only 2 years old at the time. Its very hard to tell when something is wrong with these delicate creatures because they dont have many ways of telling us. They can be acting perfectly fine and in the blink of an eye something goes wrong. Love them while you can. Sorry again for your loss

this made me cry. I lost my precious Timmy in February of this year. He passed after surgery to remove an abscess. So sorry for your loss. They are sweet little angels. I'm glad he at least was loved and free to roam.

My little bunnygirl was also diagnosed with EC when she was 1 year old. A very dubious vet didn't find out in time, which is why she got meningitis. Nobody believed that she would survive all of that. But she did and today she is happy and a very special, loving creature. It has been 2 years now. Lots of love, time, care and attention have worked a miracle, she was so brave. Stay strong!!! We wish you lots of luck 🍀
