Do Sunflowers ALWAYS Face the Sun? How Do They Even Rotate?

- Young sunflowers face the sun when it rises in the east and then track its motion in the sky throughout the day till it sets in the west in the evening. The process repeats the next day, as sunflowers return to their ‘starting’ position, i.e. facing east. Ancient Greeks knew about this phenomenon, and they called such plants Heliotropium, meaning “sun turn”. Today, we call this phenomenon heliotropism. So, how do sunflowers face the sun? Also, do all sunflowers face the sun?

Yes. A sunflower farmer all my life. Sunflowers always follow the sun. Until 7 years ago all change. White sun. Where is our yellow sun.

Saw some videos showing exactly that…weird.
Yes, our sun is now covered up with a white led which blocks out the good rays and the UV rays it emits are more harmful to us and bleaches and burns us and our plants. I noticed this the last two years... What they're doing is wicked.

Hi, its not a sun simulator. its a Fresnel lens at LaGrange Point 1. That's why the sun looks like an LED light now. the lens is blocking out infrared and focusing more UV radiation on the earth.
"UV-B rays are the harmful rays that cause sunburn. Exposure to UV-B rays increases the risk of DNA and other cellular damage in living organisms"

In Michigan My Sister -In-Law took me to a sunflower field as the sun moved to the West The entire field turned simultaneously...I have never seen such a beautiful sight.
Since the sunflowers found out that the Earth wasn't flat they're confused.
Call me old-fashioned or even dogmatic but I think the Lord did a awesome job in creating these wonderful flowers I am in awe of his Almighty power thank you Lord father God in Jesus's name!!!

Hi Gargi, making animations increases the time it takes to create a video. We were doing that initially but then each video took about a month to make. We are still doing it for some of our videos. And people wanted more of these videos which was not possible with animation only.
