Beautiful interview! As a 2010 SOTA alum, I can't understate Steve and Sunny's impact on the school (and I was so grateful to have learned from/with them directly). I remember one time I ran into Sunny after losing my wallet, feeling totally upset but trying to hold it together. She told me to just cry, be sad, feel how overwhelmed I was. That moment has stuck with me after fifteen years because it was so rare to have adults take us seriously and encourage us to trust our own feelings. "Not best practices but best people." 💯!!
