I have found that isopropyl alcohol is surprisingly good for removing surface rust. Glad you found my videos useful. Not only do I like to repair but I do try and teach at the same time so you can learn something. Thanks for watching.
@@JazzyJane_uk Since your vids, I now wonder what I'll find if I open up some of my old consoles - Cobwebs? Corrosion? Fungus? Ha Ha. Yup. Iso alcohol does do a good job for me too.
A neater way would be to replace the RF modulator with a little piece of stripboard with the capacitor, resistor and a TRRS 3.5mm socket on it. You wouldn't have a cable with 3 RCA connectors hanging out the back then.
Yep, totally agree it would be neater. I did a similar thing with the Atari console. This is just one way of doing it for those that don't want to modify/change what is already inside their Sega.
What can you do with an turbo grafx 16 console & is this process the same on a original master system console & is it possible to rig a rca av from a game gear to CRT ?
The original Master System did, but the II was the cost-reduced model released late in its life (2 years *after* their next-gen console released!). They cut out everything they could to get it as cheap as possible and hopefully sell a few more units at the low end of the market.
It’s been a while since any of your videos have popped up in my feed jane, good to see you’re still busy. Good little mod. Thanks
Thank you, I'm still full of ideas, gradually finding time to try them all out!
@ Time is a nightmare for myself these days but i have nearly finished my new workspace, it has only taken me over a decade to sort it. 😆
Mod ? I'd say upgrade, nice work !!!
Thank you :)
Very nice. You do really good work :-)
Thank you very much!
I work in AV and still learn from your vids. Cool mod. Thanks.
That rust. Uggh.

Thank you :)
I bet your lover loves gaming wit chu on rainy nights... every game head dream companion 🎉
I loved this modification. Excellent. I ask you, is it possible to put an HDMI on that board? Televisions with AV are almost not available anymore.
No. You would need an AV to HDMI encoder. This involves quite a lot of electronics. Thanks for watching.

Still surprised this thing didn't have A/V out at all.

@KeritechElectronics, exactly as @therezinUK said. I couldn't have said it better.
