So glad you called Google out on the Blue shift. Its unacceptable for the price they are charging and the extra year warranty they added is Google admitting the display is not up to flagship standard. How on earth this got past quality control is beyond me.

I think the Pixel 2 XL has been and will continue to be responsible for a whole lot of Apple to Android converts. I used iPhones for 8-9 years and never even tried an android device. Once I saw what google was doing with this phone and Android Oreo, I was convinced that this would be the best possible way to finally make the switch.

Adam Rosenberg well I'm sure there's a difference now, there's a two year gap in processors. I'm not saying the new pixel is a bad performing phone. What I'm saying is that they are selling us a rebranded Nexus, overpricing it because of the new Pixel name. If they are going to charge so much for it then it's really lacking in a lot of flagship features. But if they had it as a Nexus phone, at Nexus price, then it would be probably the best phone you could get because at that price point those flagship features that pixel lacks aren't expected.

Damodar Keny Just because "Pixel" is trying to be in the competitive market that doesn't mean it needs to charge the same amount but for less hardware features. Listen, the phone is a great stock Android experience. I love that. But don't be charging me the same price as a Note 8 just because that's the market you want to be in. Actually put in the features that demand the price. Make the phone worthy of us paying that much for it. You pay for flagship phones because they have flagship features. Expandable storage, used to be headphone jack, wireless charging, latest standard of water resistance, dual cameras, durable and quality build. The pixel doesn't give us these things. It's gives us bare minimum. Software is great but so are a lot of phones that charge much less because they don't have flagship features. The pixel, flagship feature and hardware wise is just not at par with Samsung, LG, or even now the iPhone X.
You make great videos, and I am so glad you found that LED blinky light. Google has made this a simple and approachable phone for anyone. So many of the features you complain about it not having (but it does have) aren't available on the iPhone X at all, save for maybe wireless charging but i'm glad this feature has been left out on the Pixel XL 2 because I cannot stand glass backs. I know they are your jam, I am gonna guess everything you own is glass except for that table and your cat. Google has done an incredible job of finding the middle ground. It's less expensive than the Note 8 and iPhone X, almost on par with the iPhone 8, and the Pixel 2 is an almost flawless balance between all of them. The 64gb of storage is negligible when you have unlimited photo and video storage at full resolution for Pixel devices until 2021. I know why Google doesn't have an SD card, they want people to transition to the cloud. With faster internet, this is the future. And if storage is super important because you travel, and blah blah blah, you are going to buy the 128/256 or a card for the Note 8. The 128 Pixel 2 XL is cheaper than the Note 8. The V30 is the only audiophile phone. Apple, Samsung, Google screwed the pooch on the audio world. Even the Note 8 jack isn't better than the adapters both Apple and Google provide. Wireless is the future you know that, and the headphones Apple, Samsung, LG, anyone else includes are practically garbage even in comparison to some budget headphones like the Jabra Move Wireless. For the cost of a Galaxy Note 8, you can buy a Google 2 XL, some Jabra Bluetooth cans. For the cost of an SD card you can add even more Google storage, and Google Play or Spotify premium subscription. I'm not trying to nitpick you, I'm trying to give some perspective to what $1,000+ will get you in 2018. Maybe that's a cool idea for a video, set a budget compare things together. Keep up the great videos I'll keep watching.

Would you say you notice the blue tint more because you switch phones / displays often? Also, blue tint is good for reducing eye strain :) It's common in monitors in offices etc... because of the amount of time we look at screens.
I had the Pixel 2xl for 13 days before returning it for the Note 8. Very hard decision being the Pixel is really a great phone, but like Flossy mentioned the price is not justifiable for the lack of features and issues the Pixel 2 XL has. So smooth and that camera is unbeatable, but ultimately Google didn't bring its game up to the level of these other Flagships when it comes to quality control bang for your buck.

Farzad Shokrekhuda Battery is actually better than I expected, always last me me a full day. The Note is awesome and I’m happy with it. Only things I really miss from the Pixel 2xl is Android Oreo and that camera. Overall though the Note 8 was a better choice for me.

I watch review videos a lot and seriously yours are the ones which we can rely on as you review as a "customer" who paid that big amount and bought the phone not like others who I mostly feel get sponsored or dont value the money much. Good point you mentioned not a phone for 1000 bucks but surely 750 to 800 as it doesnt have ear phone (doesnt matter u use it or not) and then the features.... Pixel 2 XL I feel is the best phone in the market and feature wise it lags behind, dunno why google prized it at too much without any features and accessories like Samsung n LG are providing. There is an notification LED, but you have to go into the settings to turn it on, it's just off by default for some stupid reason.

Listen, the phone is a great stock Android experience. I love that. But don't be charging me the same price as a Note 8 just because that's the market you want to be in. Actually put in the features that demand the price. Make the phone worthy of us paying that much for it. You pay for flagship phones because they have flagship features. Expandable storage, used to be headphone jack, wireless charging, latest standard of water resistance, dual cameras, durable and quality build. The pixel doesn't give us these things. It's gives us bare minimum. Software is great but so are a lot of phones that charge much less because they don't have flagship features. The pixel, flagship feature and hardware wise is just not at par with Samsung, LG, or even now the iPhone X.
You make great videos, and I am so glad you found that LED blinky light. Google has made this a simple and approachable phone for anyone. So many of the features you complain about it not having (but it does have) aren't available on the iPhone X at all, save for maybe wireless charging but i'm glad this feature has been left out on the Pixel XL 2 because I cannot stand glass backs. I know they are your jam, I am gonna guess everything you own is glass except for that table and your cat.
Google has done an incredible job of finding the middle ground. It's less expensive than the Note 8 and iPhone X, almost on par with the iPhone 8, and the Pixel 2 is an almost flawless balance between all of them. The 64gb of storage is negligible when you have unlimited photo and video storage at full resolution for Pixel devices until 2021. I know why Google doesn't have an SD card, they want people to transition to the cloud. With faster internet, this is the future. And if storage is super important because you travel, and blah blah blah, you are going to buy the 128/256 or a card for the Note 8. The 128 Pixel 2 XL is cheaper than the Note 8. The V30 is the only audiophile phone. Apple, Samsung, Google screwed the pooch on the audio world. Even the Note 8 jack isn't better than the adapters both Apple and Google provide. Wireless is the future you know that, and the headphones Apple, Samsung, LG, anyone else includes are practically garbage even in comparison to some budget headphones like the Jabra Move Wireless.
For the cost of a Galaxy Note 8, you can buy a Google 2 XL, some Jabra Bluetooth cans. For the cost of an SD card you can add even more Google storage, and Google Play or Spotify premium subscription.
I'm not trying to nitpick you, I'm trying to give some perspective to what $1,000+ will get you in 2018. Maybe that's a cool idea for a video, set a budget compare things together.

Would you say you notice the blue tint more because you switch phones / displays often? Also, blue tint is good for reducing eye strain :) It's common in monitors in offices etc... because of the amount of time we look at screens.
I had the Pixel 2xl for 13 days before returning it for the Note 8. Very hard decision being the Pixel is really a great phone, but like Flossy mentioned the price is not justifiable for the lack of features and issues the Pixel 2 XL has. So smooth and that camera is unbeatable, but ultimately Google didn't bring its game up to the level of these other Flagships when it comes to quality control bang for your buck.

Farzad Shokrekhuda Battery is actually better than I expected, always last me me a full day. The Note is awesome and I’m happy with it. Only things I really miss from the Pixel 2xl is Android Oreo and that camera. Overall though the Note 8 was a better choice for me.

I watch review videos a lot and seriously yours are the ones which we can rely on as you review as a "customer" who paid that big amount and bought the phone not like others who I mostly feel get sponsored or dont value the money much. Good point you mentioned not a phone for 1000 bucks but surely 750 to 800 as it doesnt have ear phone (doesnt matter u use it or not) and then the features.... Pixel 2 XL I feel is the best phone in the market and feature wise it lags behind, dunno why google prized it at too much without any features and accessories like Samsung n LG are providing.
