One of the coolest things about Kendall protecting Roman is that it was improvised by Mr Strong. And it makes us sure that it's not the first time that happens, it's like that used to happen all the time in their childhood

That's indeed pretty cool. How Strong on instinct expanded and deepened the Roy childrens backstory even more. On freaking instinct.

That single moment is so brilliant. So real

seeing Kendall suck up to his dad all season but instinctively standing up for Roman was a great moment of television. The real Kendall made an appearance in the smallest moment.

Ken stepping in front of his Dad after he hit Roman was awesome. I've got two younger brothers and that got me in the feels. Nobody smacks my brothers except for me. And vice versa.

something I love about 2x5 is the difference in the colors the two families wear. The roys are all dark and the others are light

It’s telling that the lawyers and escorts who hang around the family are less evil than all of the principals lol.

Episode 5, "Tern Haven" is one of the best episodes of the entire show, in my opinion, because of the multiple dynamics and nuances. And Cherry Jones is absolutely fantastic as Nan Pierce. Electrifying performance.

Watching you route for Otto Hightower and Logan strongly, I sense a pattern emerging.
Edit: though i do see this show as a modern Game of Thrones in a way.

@@JimmyMacram Much better Tv shows when everyone is grey. But I also put off Succession for a while cos the characters are all rich entitled assholes.
      You watched Severance btw?

I have said it before, I will say it again: Logan is a true monster. Not a shred of humanity is left (if there was ever any to begin with).

The beginning of Ken and Naomi, no matter what happens next, just keeps getting better and better every time I'm going back to it. Not only they're both drug addicts after unsuccessful rehabs and black sheeps of their respective families, they're also pulling a lot of weight in those families. Naomi seems well-adjusted and has a way with the rest of her fam, while Ken is actually pretty competent in what he does (it's just the top-hunting and consequences of that which causes him the most trouble).
And with how broken Kendall was, without being able to tell anyone, open up and spill his beans to anyone, Naomi first saw right through his fascade of "normal human being" by calling out his drug addiction and then threw that "you're such a little nothing" line. And it could be perceived as an insult, yeah, but it really encapsulates what Kendall was at the moment. I don't even think she wanted to be mean - I felt like she saw herself in him, like she was looking in the mirror. Ken on the other hand felt understood, like "I can't tell her anything and she still understands me". I don't think at all any of that was truly calculated, just this crazy, enticing spark between similar characters.
And I keep going back to that talk after the act. Kendall's pretty much talking to somebody like him, suggesting Naomi to do something he should've done, maybe kinda wanted, maybe wished he did, but at the time KNEW he couldn't. He knew he can't be free and is on a leash, just being "allowed" to exist by Logan and he suspected Naomi might one day end up on the chopping block too. No wonder he told her to take the deal, take the money and cut all ties.

So yeah, that comedian knowing about the deal did most certainly get a little hint from Kendalls old business buddy. How else is he supposed to know that a deal is coming? And he doesnt even have any names...
