Proposals to try overhaul how patients evidence prescriptions to the police sounds feasible, if individual forces can be persuaded to adopt a new process - a battle in itself. While I haven't been pulled driving by the police since I was a patient, I've always been of the mindset I would refuse a roadside blood test (which I think would get me arrested by default) because in the long-run I know CPS won't prosecute. I (and most) patients will always test over the roadside limit, even if having not medicated in the last few hours.
