When I’m acting on commercial and Film sets, I always ease my way over to catch them setting up. It’s humbling as a videographer and a blessing as an actor
It is hard to believe that I found you as a 'suggestion' clip in my stream. You have quickly become one of my favorite content providers. Keep up the good work.
This was great to see. May the opportunities keep coming your way. I love getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of how these wonderful shots are put together.
What a cool experience! I would’ve been so nervous on that last shot and hell operating any of the bigger rigs that I saw. But great job and thanks for letting us in on the behind the scenes !
Lol I was so nervous! I’m working with union pros. But they were super generous with their knowledge. I had some bad takes but I had spent the whole weekend before just practicing the wheels. So I went in there with a little confidence lol
Really really cool content; it's fun to see all the different types of gear used/just watching people work on set. So many moving pieces coming together in a production harmoniously!
Interesting to hear him talk about how great the angel bird cards are 6:30 and then go on to say he needs dual slot recording because he gets so many corrupted cards
So basically he’s saying as filmmakers we get corrupted cards renting out cards from these houses so it’s good to have 1. Angelbird which is a reliable card company but not just that 2. Being able to backup no matter how great the card is, is such a great thing to have.
This looks like Shane Hurlbut's Moonlight course for Filmmakers Academy am I right? I been on sets before and it's a constant rush rush, how is it you find time to record BTS while being Camera OP at some of your jobs? Do you have to hire someone to do it for you? Do you add them on as part as your day rate? I take it you ask permission first. Just curious. I love your channel and it inspires me to go further.
I hired someone to do BTS! I usually pay out of my pocket as it’s someone specially for me and my TH-cam. And sometimes I can hire and sometimes I can’t. It depends on the job honestly. I wish I could have someone every time! Lol Thank you!!!
So were yall shooting actual scenes for the masterclass demo, and then another camera was rolling on the "bts"/shane talking? How many cameras did yall have set up, looked a sizeable camera department lol
Mannnn it was so much lol we were shooting the BTS pf the BTS. So they were shooting the masterclass and then I had my BTS shooting me and them and getting BTS. It was probably 8-10 cameras for the masterclass then some social media cameras, then 2 BTS. My BTS and then Brady had his own BTS.
@@BrittneyJanae wow thats crazy, it looked like a lot to manage lol but im sure it was a awesome experience seeing all of the different configurations/set ups. And thats cool I noticed you had Michael out doing the bts. And Shane is such a wealth of knowledge, I can only imagine all of the things you picked up just being around him, I've always been a fan of how open he is to sharing his cinematography knowledge.
approximately how much weight are the camera operators holding on their person? between the camera box, gigantic lenses, integrated gimbal, and the rig I cannot help but think at end of the day a muscle has been pulled or strained somewhere.
Burano really is just a problem, can’t convince me it’s a good camera. Too far from a Venice to be used in drama, and too expensive to be used at a smaller level

Wow! Felt like a fly on the wall. Really appreciate the backup of the memory cards. You look really happy in your elements.
I was happy to be there, always love when I can learn new things I haven’t used for filmmaking! thanks for watching.

Great to see some remote head operating with wheels 🍻
That was my favorite part! First time using it but I’ve been trying to take more classes with the wheels so it was cool to practice
What a cool experience! I would’ve been so nervous on that last shot and hell operating any of the bigger rigs that I saw. But great job and thanks for letting us in on the behind the scenes !

@ I’d be curious if these dp’s notice a trend or problems with certain cards and if they have a preferred SD card brand
@ whenever I have to DP most times they give me Angelbird cards so it’s def a preferred in the DP world.
Conner was Holding it down with that tent Build. That was a nice rig
It really was!! First time ever really doing that!
Crazy BTS!
It’s always cool to be on these big sets and learn.

Disregard the first comment. I made the assumption before Day 2. Lol. Your an affiliate that how you were able to do BTS on this one!

Around 30 or more lbs. but that’s what the ronin and rigs are for to help with support
Great Girl
how many dallas this one cost 500 thou
Can’t help you there. I’m not a producer so I don’t have that info lol

All this incredibly expensive equipment and they all seem to end up creating crap productions these day.
How about you learn to be positive and focus on growing as a filmmaker and understand why.
2:50 does anybody know where to get that Butterfly ? 🥲
