- This is a list of ten interesting cowboys in comics. I think I have a pretty diverse groups of characters for this month's list episode. Some are certainly household names, but I hope I introduce the viewer to at least a few new facts. In order to add a pinch of authenticity to the list I have one, lonely cowboy boot. This list starts with some fun silliness and steadily progresses to the deadly serious side of cowboy characters.

My list would have to include Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower series, adapted mostly very well into comics in the past several years. I could see disqualifying him since he wasn't initially created for comics, though.
Roland is a great choice (I’ve never read the comics, only the first novel).

A few of these I would have replaced with Two Gun Kid, Kid Colt Outlaw, and Black Rider.

Thank you for this video as someone who likes the idea of comics but isn't much into them because of all the long runs, shifting writers and continuity and is also a big fan of westerns this video gave me a lot of future reading material
You left out Marvel's Two Gun Kid, a childhood favourite! I loved the comic, with the Two Gun Kid, "Remember the Alamo".
I enjoy western movies and comics. Never thought about combining the two. Such a fun list to stumble upon. Thanks for putting this together.
Ive read a lot of western comics and have a few favourites but head and shoulders above them all is Jonah Hex. Clearly based on the popular spaghetti westerns of the time and Clint Eastwood in particular.
If the film and tv versions had only stuck with the comics version of Jonah we'd have had classic westerns instead of sacrilege.
As it is the closest we've come to a classic version of Jonah Hex is none other than The Outlaw Josey Wales

I have never read a cowboy comic but a cowboy character who really would've been great as the subject of his own comic book is Brisco County, Jr(as played by Bruce Campbell) from the 1993-1994 FOX TV series The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., which was very much a live-action comic book. It would have been a perfect continuation of the series which was cancelled after a single(and singularly amazing) 27 episode season.
I debated putting Vash on the list. Would you count him as a Cowboy (I know it would be a little outside the box, but that's the fun of these things.)
@@Animedad I didn't even think about Vash. No, I never have thought of him as a cowboy-type character. But, sure, I hope to see him pop up in a vid of yours someday.

That gay Rawhide kid stuff is a bunch of WOKE INSANITY!
Jack Kirby drew many issues of that comic and there was absolutely nothing gay about him! Marvel should be ashamed of degrading the character. Marvel should also bring The original non-gay real Rawhide Kid to the big screen.
It's way overdue for them to make a western!
