For the algae problem- I've heard that adding lactobacillus (and also other ones) can really help. Like the Great White there are also products with special microbes and bacteria that are really beneficial. Here in Germany they're called EM (for effective microbes).

Nice to hear feeding the Florida Ghost helped to get it lighter again. 🥳
Maybe you can experiment a little bit with the feed.

I’m having the same struggle with the keeping a more sparse shelf that I can focus on growing or adding more plants… I will say purging plants lately has been so fun

Another great video Alice, thank you 💚
I don’t remove the algae from my clear vessels either and for the same reason. The only problem I have with the algae though is it can make it challenging to see inside the vessel.

Your ghost will 100% get more white with more light. That’s the key with them. They can handle some good light but too much light will prevent the leaves from turning green so maybe gradullay introduce it to bright light. But holy cow that shape is everything!

Mid-way through the vid, i went to mix a stronger feed for my florida ghost. It gives me white lovely leaves but it doesn't stay minty, I wondered how the original growers did it, the original leaves were minty until it departed. Will try, ty for mentioning.

Thanks for the video! I recently got a pallidiflorum I'm excited for its growth. I started telling myself as far as being more structured for cleaning and organized "don't put it down put it away" I had seen it in a reel or something. It definitely helped me lol.

I thought strap leaved anthuriums can only be crossed with other straps?
I've envious of your big pallidiflorum, mine is tiny and I find it so slow, I wonder if it's the different conditions (I'm in Australia).

What philodendron do you think is easier to take of -Hederocraspadon or P. Patriciae? Or is it the same care?

Hey Alice!! I recently bought some Great White on Amazon but it seemed to be in suspicious condition (i.e. the container not matching the picture exactly and it being only 1/4th full of product- others in the review section also had a similar experience). Since you’ve been using the product for a while, I was just wondering if you had any guidance on what’s normal and what’s a red flag when buying Great White on Amazon? I’m worried about potentially being “scammed” because the sellers, prices, and quality seem to be so variable. Thank you for everything you do! ❤

Question about great white. Everyone says it’s water soluble but I bought some from my local hydroponics store and it did not even come close to dissolving in my water. It sunk to the bottom and no matter how much I stored it sunk. I’m confused!
