      I’m not sure what you are disagreeing with Keith if you review Stones question on the video he stated when you add recessive reds is it to add speed or depth and I responded absolutely because (in my family) my recessive reds are my deepest Birds that statement in no way assumes that or alleges or indicated that all recessive reds will produce speed depth or frequency in all families I have no idea what someone else’s family of reds will produce in closing we agree completely on your statements don’t believe the hype don’t be mislead know your family

  • @ourfarmsorganic4639
    @ourfarmsorganic4639 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Perfect birds produce imperfections that's why we cull... imperfections produce perfection. Got know how to do alchemy. You can ruin a perfect blood line. Color matters, non rolling birds matter. It depends on what you want to add or breed out.

    Hey smitty was wondering traditionally why people put multiple birds in a small kit?

    • @thepigeonmedia2713
      @thepigeonmedia2713  ปีที่แล้ว

      it should only be 20 birds in a kit...u want them to stay together so they can develop chemistry in the kit cage aswell as the sky

    Question
    What is the difference between tumbling and Rolling?

    • @thepigeonmedia2713
      @thepigeonmedia2713  ปีที่แล้ว

      a tumbler flips alot slower than a roller..a roller is smooth and fast ,almost like a baseball

    • @loupigeonstimeflies8150
      @loupigeonstimeflies8150 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @THE PIGEON MEDIA
      So, tumbling and rolling are considered flipping.
      The only difference is the speed of flip. Got it.
      I look at the difference being that a tumbler flips sloppy and ALSO Stops then flips again not continuous like a roller does. A roller spins hard and other rollers do perfect flawless flips.
      Am I making sense?
      Just trying to pick your brain on this topic.
      Appreciate your comments and replies to my questions Sam.
      Thanks

    • @thepigeonmedia2713
      @thepigeonmedia2713  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Only can produce female dilute

    • @kerbyjackson88
      @kerbyjackson88 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He got a little scrambled with his explanation on dilute, even though he isn't wrong. He just kind of tripped over his words in trying to explain it and didn't go into much detail. That left it kind of confusing sounding. That being said, if you breed an intense cock carring dilute to an intense hen ALL of the resulting dilutes will be hens. Roughly 25% of the pair's offspring will be these dilute hens. By contrast if you mate the same cock to a dilute hen, you will get dilutes of BOTH sexes. In both situations, your hens will be whatever they appear to be. Ie. An intense hen cannot carry dilute because of the genetic nature of the dilute gene.
