    One more thing that the video failed to address was that Mexico’s main arms and munitions provider was... the US. Mexico was not about to make a large arms purchase and make the US suspicious... Mexico could have also bought weapons from Argentina, but again such a large purchase that a war would require would immediately be known to the US and triggered a red alert.

      Not saying it makes sense to authenticate it, but if you believe America is isolationist nation who will just sit it out because they are afraid of getting drawn into the war, then the bigger concern becomes Mexico not believing the telegram because they think it was a British psyops mission. Either way, the Germans had to deal with American supplies on the battlefield, and the main objective was to divert US industrial capacity into a war with Mexico. Obviously the first premise turned out to be incorrect, and the Mexicans were too smart to take the bait.

      Yes, and one of the promises the germans made to japan was to give California to them once they defeated the US. In WWll they had the same plan instead Japan would take not only California but also Baja California as well and make it into a Japan protectorate.

    • @Seriona1
      @Seriona1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ericktellez7632 Gonna call bullshit on this. Japan had zero interesting in invading the United States. They admitted this, the US government even admitted they knew that too. The most likely Japan annexation of US territory if they could pull it off was to take Hawaii and even the Japanese doubted that. The entire point of Japan raging a war against the US was fear that the US navy while neutral would disrupt Japanese shipping lanes near US colonies and that Japan was hoping for a quick win over the US navy to force the US to agree to a cease fire on Japanese terms so they could continue to fight in Asia. The Japanese Army was built to fight USSR, the Japanese Navy was built to fight UK. Japan's entire war goals in WWII was what was in the west, never the east.
