@KVO723Maybe in game speed doesn't matter but competitively speed is arguably the strongest stat as It guarantees hazards, field effects, status, and revenge kills.
That would be pretty comedy, although it’s unlikely as they are completely different. A speedy frail mon is going to have a tough time filling the role of best bulky support, even with Eviolite and the same moveset. Also can’t forget the dark typing
Overall I believe Torrecat is a sidegrade to arcanine, that leans further into support and less into offense. Either way, Magmar's really the only notable nfe firetype
Chansey eventually lost out to Blissey in Gen 8 thanks to Heavy-Duty Boots allowing it to ignore entry hazards. With Spikes being more prevalent than ever, Chansey wasn’t able to take hits nearly as well, especially if Eviolite was knocked off.
@@TheVengefulVadam I had more about that originally in the video but it was close to 40 minutes so I tried to cut a bunch of extra details. But yeah, boots really really did help blissey, same with Utility Umbrella in Ubers funnily enough.
Scyther in the Gen V spinoff Pokemon Conquest has a higher BST than Scizor and one of the best moves in the game, making it outright one of the best Pokemon in the game.
That's awesome personally I find scyther cooler than scizor I feel like acyther always had a certain level of prestige in the games just this pretty high bst mon and a bug Type of all things
For water id have to have said Poliwhirl. I know you have to go back to the 90s but at least at some point it was a competitive mon that was preferred over its evolution. Higher speed and essentially the same special, combined with Hypnosis and Amnesia (best move in game at the time) made it a gen 1 powerhouse.
I use Garchomp extremely often. I teally enjoy to use it since I got a lvl 1 gible with hidden ability on my first wonder trade ever. I see Gabite as the best not fully evolved dragon because it is basically Garchomp jr
you know what would be cool, an Eviolite for both attacks and an Eviolite for speed, it would ensure that there are many more Pokemon that are competitively viable
Pikachu's light ball is like an extremely specialized eviolite for attacking stats, doubling it, but sadly the 90 base speed and about 40 base defenses are too small to get carried by the item. Then again, this is Pikachu getting it, imagine Duraladon or Scyther getting their hands on it, thats a disaster waiting to happen.
@@amarovic_4448 I do like Gloom I just don’t see its competitive impact being greater than the ones I mentioned. Great support movepool though Strength Sap is so annoying.
@sillygoober752 yes I know that is the “correct” way to pronounce it, but that’s how many people I watched said it and I am just stuck in my ways as it sounds so much better😂
I think it makes some Pokémon a lot more interesting since it makes a lot of pre-evos not straight up outclassed by their evos. If it’s that big of a problem just use knock off then
OK.... now this is a CERTIFIED MattBud Banger.
Cross gen evolution Pokemon trying not to lose speed when they evolve: Impossible
Well, everyone knows speed is an optional stat that doesn’t matter much so you might as well put those points into something useful
@KVO723 This is sarcasm, right? Right...? Speed is extremely important!
@KVO723Maybe in game speed doesn't matter but competitively speed is arguably the strongest stat as It guarantees hazards, field effects, status, and revenge kills.
And so, I let loose my rabid Gliscor for gaining speed as a cross-gen evo.
Dead internet theory headass comment
Honorable mention goes to Eviolite Torracat for if Incineroar gets banned 🙏

i wish gen 7 never happened 😔 horrible games and even worse competitive industry plants
😂😂
@dankmctwist6575 Maaaaan that's how I feel about Gen 8. Incineroar is my favorite fire starter lol
I think it would be more precise to say "not fully evolved" rather than "unevolved"
I think so too, I changed up the title
Insane respect for that

(Electric type) "I don't think I'd be shocking anyone here when I give the honour to..."
Me: Right, obviously Electabuzz
"...Magneton"
XD
Yeah i was not expecting magneton over buzz. Especially since, unlike magneton, electabuzz is actually often better than their evolution
9:16 that landorus is wild
Came here to say this😂
Thank God somebody else noticed it too💀😭
Korn ping😭
I love the murkows nicknames, "annoying" n "birb"
Remember the first month of Gen 8, when Galarian Corsola was doing well in OU and some people even said it should be banned? Crazy times
As an NFE player, Pilo may genuienly be the king of Ice and Groundtype mons
RIP my boi Wynaut for the Psychic type 😔
16:36 Dipplin has saved me multiple times in Random Battles. Thing just never dies unless your opponent has a random tera Ice mon
> Clicked on the video
> Immediately goes to fairy section
> Sees Clefairy
I already know this video is going to be good
who else up smoking that dank matt bud 👽
🚬😈🥬
The dragon banned from LC is like allowing a 9 year old with a nerf gun play against 2 year olds with pillows.
Fighting should have given a shoutout to Riolu because it actually had a strat with Prankster

Awesome idea for a video man and very well put together definitely earned my sub looking fwd to more content

shoutout my boy dwebble
I was expecting light ball pikachu as an electric honorable mention
Scyther's such an awesome Pokemon. 😎
Best lc pokemon of each type next
Good idea, going to have to study the formats history a little more
I probably would've still given the top spot to Porygon2, since Chansey is pretty much never played seriously in Doubles
Eviolite is my single favourite item. So happy to be able to use a Torracat if I want to over Incin for example.
9:15 p- p0rn king??!!?! 😭
Smh
I was definitely expecting electric ball pika as electric type,
Gothorita is my personal fav NFE Pokemon
Way better design than gothitelle tbh
Hell yeah
Within a minute
New video lets gooo 🤩
29:55 Dunsparce mention!!!
Scyther my boi
you know what would be cool, an Eviolite for both attacks and an Eviolite for speed, it would ensure that there are many more Pokemon that are competitively viable
Like a choice band/specs in one without locking you into a move? Same with scarf? Sounds pretty busted😈

Nice one
Rydon is a good nfe if want non noob trap pick for rock type he's not great but he has surf megahorn and other coverage moves that make no sense
So many gen 1 pokemon, I wonder if every pokemon line will eventually have an evolution making single stage pokemon non existent 🤔
Doubtful, since legendary and mythical Pokémon tend to be one stage only and get alt forms instead.
@ good point
Chansey hell yea
Rhydon just top cut a vgc regional
Trapinch isn't the best Ground, despite having 100 att, trick room superiority, and Arena Trap?
I'd put Gloom for Grass. It has Strength Sap, Leech Seed, Toxic etc.
@@amarovic_4448 I do like Gloom I just don’t see its competitive impact being greater than the ones I mentioned. Great support movepool though Strength Sap is so annoying.
bisharp
Such a list would also be cool without mons that evolve in another genearion.
normal: dolliv grass: dolliv
seadra is defs the best nfe water
Type Thicc?? 😳
Does scizor even count as an evolution the stats don’t even get better they just get moved around scizor may as well be a regional variant 😭🤣
🎉
no duraludon for dragon?
@@enderdoctor7631 can you rewatch the dragon section and tell me who it was?
@@MattBudYT the attitude is crazy, i was making a joke i now unsub
What game is this? I only know of Pokémon Go
Actually, Primeape is not full envolved.
Prinplup > Slowpoke
Slowpoke ain't doing work.
Electric has Pikachu tbh.
Generally pikachu is far too frail to get anything done, even with light ball boost
okay.
no.
you are not just IGNORING trapinch for DIGLET
diglett is a better pokémon competitively than trapinch.
I at least gave it a cameo😅
Trapinch actually has usage in official formats, being niche for trick room
42 seconds ago is frisky
😫
🤨
ITS DOUBLADE NOT DOOBLADE BECAUSE IT COMES FROM DOUBLE BLADE
@sillygoober752 yes I know that is the “correct” way to pronounce it, but that’s how many people I watched said it and I am just stuck in my ways as it sounds so much better😂
It’s Doublade because I think it is
W Groodon & hydragon
Bro said he was going to talk about competitive but then brought up smogon tiers 💀💀💀
Sigh

I hate eviolite so much, it makes the not fully evolved pokemon too bulky
I think you mean, useable. Also needing running Knock Off isn’t too unreasonable
Bad take tbh

Aside from dipplin, this is an awful take ngl
Cry about it. Also i hope u enjoy dealing with chansey as its my favorite mon.
