      Hey Aldo... I could see that in your teacher's movement.. really cool!

    The good stuff!! Love those little drops of absolute gold - "we can draw the movement of han xiong through each individual vertebra up from the bottom of the spine", lifting of the organ sack...this inner work is the core of what I came to call "ancestral movement". The inner body, the soft body, the animal body, dragon body, wave power. Marcus if you ever set up an online training academy I would sign up in a second.

      Great to hear from you! ...and as I am a fan of your unique "ancestral movement" teachings, its good to hear that
      this corresponds with your research..

    Thank you for this video. Somehow you once again address an area of immediate concern to my training.

    Very good thank you for the lesson. I mention this often. I had a shoulder surgery, ooops. This kind of information helps in training, and I always search for it in daily common movement. But have an over awareness off the western invasive surgery with 5 anchors in the bone to pull labral cartilage back to the bone. As well as to somehow have "repaired " a tear in the biceps tendon and another in the intrascapular.

      Tyson, what you have brought up is a very important aspect of consideration, in regard to martial arts training. Not to mention, how such injury may effect virtually every variety of physical training. I have students who have undergone hip replacement surgery, knee replacements, and all manner of back and neck surgeries such as your own. The intricacies and complications that may arise from the vast variety of past injuries and subsequent medical procedures is a subject which deserves to be addressed outside of what I could possibly address within the confines of these short videos. Nonetheless, I think it is ultimately folks like yourselves who become the greatest advocates and counselors for people who want to continue improving themselves while dealing with past debilitating injuries. I'll try to add to this topic with you a little later.. I'm on the road for a few days..

      @@marcusbrinkman3066 Well thanks to Chris Haynes. He really did a lot of worknwith me in and around the time. Looking ar movements that wouldbhelp to open the scapula and with a very good physical therapist to strengthen my overall shoulder. Chris was able to keep me learning and moving beyond just learning forms and patterned apps with a cooperative partener. He shared some entertaining memories of being your student. I understand my questions or musings can run deeper than a video forum, I have been in some form of Martial arts since age 10. Thank you for taking time and for sharing any wisdom. Im cleaning up my channel and structuring it you know some people are touchy about what gets out. I have returned to my study of Sun style tai ji from 20 yrs ago hope to get some footage up. Safe travels🙏

      Chris is a dedicated and talented practitioner. Glad to hear he is helping you out. Sun style Taiji would be a good choice of practice for your particular needs, in my opinion

      @@marcusbrinkman3066 well very grateful to you all. I stumbled across a flyer at a college and once involved I knew, that I had found something looked for since my early teens.
      I am reterning to the Sun style. There is a lot I did not understand when I studied previously. Good day Marcus keep plugging along. I believe that you have good wisdom to impart.

    Often I see expansive force resulting from hollowing the chest. Are there also opportunities to make expansive force when rising up the chest? I think I have seen this done with the splitting motion of pi quan after the initial drilling.

    • @marcusbrinkman3066
      @marcusbrinkman3066  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes .. great observation, the polarity can be switched whereby the so-called open and close of "pulling up the back" and "hollowing the chest" can be assigned to either expansive or contractive force..
