I came to post some info. If you purchase this omnibus (by Morrison) AND the Tower of Babel Deluxe (by Waid), you'll have all issues 1-46 for this JLA run with exception of 3 issues: 27, 35, 42. Those 3 issues were not authored by Morrison nor Waid, so it makes sense. This full JLA run is supposedly 125 issues, but 1-46 is a great chunk :) That full-color hardcover art under the paper is gorgeous!!
After opening a few times I like to get a finger under both sides of the spine and start lifting the book while open on different parts (like bouncing). Eyes get bigger after doing this, I think it makes the glue more flexible.
All books with sewn binding have glue, though. That's the main reason you crack the spine. I am in the process of binding all JLA myself, so I have all this (and more) in four books, so I can skip this omnibus. But it looks awesome, though! Still, I prefer a complete series as opposed to a run by one writer.
I missed this back in the day because I didn`t like Howard Porter`s art the time. I hear it`s really great so I`ll have to catch up with it in the near future . Hopefully they`ll release it in another format. I find Omni-s to be intimidating.
I have a question about this omnibus. As someone who owns the DC: One Million omnibus, I've wanted to read Morrison's JLA run, but didn't get into comics until after the JLA deluxe hardcovers went out of print. The TPB collections removed the final pages of JLA #23 that set up the One Million event, and left out the event entirely. While I would like to read those deluxe hardcovers, I don't want to spend the crazy amount of money for a few pages setting up an event. Does this omnibus collect all of the pages from JLA #23 and/or any of the DC: One Million event?

@@silverkyle I heard that as well. Trying to put in a bulk order and buy 2 get 1 is better than their customer appreciation event that took place a few weeks ago. Looking to pick this up as well, for such a huge Omni would you recommend based on quality ?
@@dragonassault12 it does have a bit of a tight binding, but at 1500 pages its kind of expected. I think its worth it for 1500 pages, and from what I've heard, this is arguably the best Justice League run out there.
